Tennessee Technological University, commonly referred to as Tennessee Tech, is a public research university in Cookeville, Tennessee, United States. It was formerly known as Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, and before that as University of Dixie, the name under which it was founded as a private institution. Tennessee Temple University
Tennessee Temple University was a private Christian university in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Temple Baptist Seminary was the university's graduate school of Christian theology, also operating in Chattanooga. The university merged with Piedmont International University in 2015. History Tennessee Temple was founded in 1946 under the leadership and vision of Dr. Lee Roberson. As the pastor of a prominent Southern Baptist church, Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Roberson saw a need to train people for ministry through higher education. TalTech Basketball is the basketball team of Tallinn University of Technology based in Tallinn, Estonia. The team plays in the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. Their home arena is the TalTech Sports Hall. The team has won eight Estonian Championships and seven Estonian Cups. History The game of basketball was first introduced to the Tallinn Tehnikum (predecessor of the Tallinn University of Technology) in 1928. The team's first game was played on 4 February 1928, in the NMKÜ Sports Hall, with Tallinn Tehnikum beating the visiting University of Tartu team 21–19. The Tanzania Teachers’ Union (TTU) is a teachers' trade union in Tanzania. History The union was formed in 1993 with the intent of advocating and promoting the rights of teachers in Tanzania. In 2006, the union's president Margaret Simwanza Sitta was appointed as Minister of Education and Vocational Training by President Jakaya Kikwete. The union had observer status at the 17th Ordinary African Union Summit in 2011. In 2012, 200,000 teachers went on strike after 95.7 percent of Union members voted in favour. Union chairman Gratian Mukoba said that a pay rise was necessary. In May 2017, the union condemned the sacking of 10,000 civil servants. Leadership Leah Ulaya is the current union president. MPEG-4 Part 17
MPEG-4 Part 17, or MPEG-4 Timed Text (MP4TT), or MPEG-4 Streaming text format is the text-based subtitle format for MPEG-4, published as ISO/IEC 14496-17 in 2006. It was developed in response to the need for a generic method for coding of text as one of the multimedia components within audiovisual presentations. It is also streamable, which was one of the main aspects when creating the format. It is mainly aimed for use in the .mp4 container, but can also be used in the .3gp container as 3GPP Timed Text (TTXT), which is technically almost identical with .mp4 but more used in cell phones. 3GPP Timed Text is exactly the same as MPEG-4 Timed Text when used in the .mp4 container. It can be also used in other file formats based on the ISO base media file format. 3GPP approved the Timed text format for 3G multimedia services in 3GPP TS 26.245 in 2004.
