TSL Jousters
The Spring League was an American football developmental league and scouting event (pro showcase) that played from 2017 to 2021 and was founded by Brian Woods. Aimed at professional athletes but not paying a salary or expenses, the league's goal was to "serve as an instructional league and showcase for professional football talent". The Spring League was the second football property to be established by Woods, following the Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) from 2014 to 2015 and preceding the United States Football League revival in 2022. The league consisted of three to eight teams and played an abbreviated four to six game "season" in April or May. During the year, the league arranged additional scouting events, called Spring League Showcases, that began in July 2017. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. The offense must advance at least ten yards in four downs or plays; if they fail, they turn over the football to the defense, but if they succeed, they are given a new set of four downs to continue the drive. Dennis Creehan
Dennis Creehan (born August 16, 1949) is an American gridiron football coach. He was most recently the athletic director at Alderson Broaddus University from 2011 to 2019. Creehan served as the head football coach at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (1979–1984), San Francisco State University (1990), the University of South Dakota (1992–1996), West Virginia Wesleyan College (2009–2010), and Alderson Broaddus (2012–2016). Donnie Henderson
Donnie Henderson (born May 17, 1957) is an American football coach. He is currently the defensive coordinator at Arizona State, and before that he was defensive coordinator of the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football. Biography Henderson first joined the Jets during the 2004 NFL season. In 2005, the Jets had a second-ranked defense against the pass, but a 32nd-ranked defense against the run, which undoubtedly was one of the factors leading to the team's disappointing 4–12 record (in addition to Chad Pennington and Curtis Martin being absent for most of the season due to injury). Henderson was not kept on after head coach Herman Edwards was replaced by Eric Mangini following the season. Stephen Thomas Fairchild (born June 21, 1958) is an American football coach and former player who is the head coach of the Alphas of The Spring League. He served as head football coach at Colorado State University from 2008 to 2011, compiling a record of 16–33. Early life Fairchild was born in Decatur, Illinois. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in San Diego, CA in 1976.
