The Toyota New Global Architecture (abbreviated as TNGA) are modular automobile platforms that underpin various Toyota and Lexus models starting with the Toyota Prius (XW50), fourth-generation Prius in late 2015. TNGA platforms accommodate different vehicle sizes and also Front-wheel drive, front-, Rear-wheel drive, rear- and Four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive configurations. The platforms were developed as part of a company-wide effort to simplify the vehicles being produced by Toyota. The Toyota MC platform is a front-wheel drive automobile platform (also adaptable to four-wheel drive) that has underpinned various Toyota and Lexus models from the compact and mid-size categories. MC sits above the older NBC and newer B platforms, but below the Toyota K platform designed for larger models such as the Camry.
