TNA Slammiversary
Slammiversary is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the American promotion Impact Wrestling. It is one of Impact's “Big Four” PPV events (along with Hard to Kill, Rebellion, and Bound for Glory), and celebrates the anniversary of the promotion's first event that was held on June 19, 2002. The event had been held in July since 2017; the 2022 event took place on June 19 – 20 years to the day after the promotion held their first show. History King of the Mountain Slammiversary's signature match was the King of the Mountain match, a five-man reverse ladder match which was previously contested for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and, later, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Impact Wrestling (stylized as ''IMPACT! Wrestling''), is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Founded by Jeff and Jerry Jarrett in 2002, the promotion was initially known as NWA: Total Nonstop Action (''NWA-TNA'') and was associated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), though not an official member. TNA 2nd Anniversary Show (also known as Slammiversary (2004)) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), which took place on June 23, 2004 at the TNA Asylum in Nashville, Tennessee. The event succeeded the promotion's first anniversary show and celebrated the second anniversary of TNA's first event held on June 19, 2002. Nine matches were contested at the event, with six airing live on the pay-per-view. The event featured three championship matches including the main event, where Jeff Jarrett retained the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Ron Killings after the match ended in a no contest. The Nashville Municipal Auditorium is an indoor sports and concert venue in Nashville, Tennessee. It opened October 7, 1962 with both an arena and exhibition hall. The former exhibition hall has been permanent home to the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum since 2013. Slammiversary (2007) (sometimes stylized as ''SlammiVersary'') was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, which took place on June 17, 2007, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. It was the third event under the Slammiversary chronology and marked the fifth anniversary of the promotion. Ten professional wrestling matches were featured on the event's card. Prior to the main event, Jeff Jarrett held a shoot interview where he discussed the recent death of his wife Jill, who died on May 23, 2007, of breast cancer. Jarrett discussed how she influenced the company during the "early days" followed by saying he doesn't know when or where he'll wrestle again. Ronnie Aaron Killings (born January 19, 1972) is an American professional wrestler and rapper. He is currently signed to WWE, performing on the Raw brand under the ring name R-Truth. Killings worked for World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) as K-Kwik from 1998 to 2002, forming a team with "Road Dogg" Jesse James, and winning the WWF Hardcore Championship twice. Jeffrey Leonard Jarrett (born July 14, 1967) is an American professional wrestler and promoter. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he also serves as Director of Business Development.
