TER Normandie
TER Normandie is the regional rail network serving the region of Normandy, northwestern France. It is operated by the French national railway company SNCF. It was formed in 2016 from the previous TER networks TER Basse-Normandie and TER Haute-Normandie, after the respective regions were merged. Regio 2N
The Regio 2N is family of a double-deck, dual-voltage electric multiple unit trainsets built for French rail operator SNCF to serve its regional rail routes ( TER, Transilien, and RER). The trains utilize a unique and highly configurable design. One of the end cars is single-deck and designed to accommodate wheelchair users, the other end car is double-deck. The intermediate cars are either double-deck with no doors accommodating seated passengers traveling long distances or single-deck with two double doors per side accommodating standing passengers traveling short distances. Trains can be configured with six, seven, eight or ten cars. Additionally, the seating can be configured for intercity service (2+1 seating in 1st class, 2+2 seating in 2nd class), regional service (2+2 seating throughout), or high-capacity commuter service (3+2 seating throughout). Gare Saint-Lazare
The Gare Saint-Lazare (English: St Lazarus station), officially Paris-Saint-Lazare, is one of the six large mainline railway station termini in Paris, France. It serves train services toward Normandy, northwest of Paris, along the Paris–Le Havre railway. Saint-Lazare is the third busiest station in France, after the Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon. It handles 290,000 passengers each day. The station was designed by architect Juste Lisch; the maître d'œuvre (general contractor) was Eugène Flachat. Cherbourg Station
Gare de Cherbourg is the railway station of the city of Cherbourg, Normandy, France. It is the western terminus of the Mantes-la-Jolie–Cherbourg railway. History On 5 September 1850, the president Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte visited Cherbourg and demanded the continuation of work on the Arsenal. He also demanded the construction of a railway line linking Cherbourg to Paris. The construction of the line was approved in 1852. The station was opened on 4 August 1858 by Napoleon III who arrived on the imperial train from Paris. At the time of opening, the trip to Paris took ten hours and cost 22.85 FrF for a third class ticket and 41.55 FrF for a first class ticket. Queen Victoria visited the city and its station the same day and took part in the grandiose celebrations. The third dock of the Cherbourg Arsenal, 1 200 000m³ in size, was opened and a steam ship immediately sailed from it. Lison Station
Gare de Lison is a railway station serving the town of Lison, Calvados department, northwestern France. It is situated at the junction of the Mantes-la-Jolie–Cherbourg railway and the Lison–Lamballe railway. The station is served by regional trains to Cherbourg, Caen, Paris and Granville. Several bus routes also serve this station to connect passengers to nearby towns such as Bayeux, Carentan and Le Molay-Littry. The station has ticket machines for customers to buy tickets before their journey as well as an automated car parking system for those travelling by car. The station building has been designed in the traditional French style with arched windows and stone walls which give it an attractive look from the outside. Inside there are several shops and cafes offering refreshments for passengers on their journeys. is the main train station for the town of Lisieux, Normandy, France. It was built by Chemins de Fer de l'Ouest in 1855. The station is built in a Y shape and is situated on the Mantes-la-Jolie–Cherbourg railway main line from Paris to Caen and Cherbourg. The station is also served by trains to Trouville-Deauville. Bernay Station
The Gare de Bernay is the train station for the town of Bernay, Eure. It was built by Chemins de Fer de l'Ouest in 1855. It is situated on the Mantes-la-Jolie–Cherbourg railway. The station was, like most stations on the line to Cherbourg, built by the line's first concessionary, the Compagnie du chemin de fer de Cherbourg. Évreux-Normandie Station
Évreux-Normandie (until recently: ''Évreux Embranchement'') is the train station for the town of Évreux, Eure, France. It was built by CF de l'Ouest in 1887 (the line opened in 1855). The station was named ''Embranchement'' as it stands at the junction of the lines to Paris and to Rouen. The line to Rouen is now closed but a disused freight line to the northern suburbs of Évreux remains. The station building was heavily bombed during World War II but rebuilt identically to the original building afterwards. Le Havre Station
Le Havre station ( French: ''Gare du Havre'') is the main railway station located in Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, France. The station was opened on 22 March 1847 and is located on the Paris–Le Havre railway. The train services are operated by SNCF. The station building was built in 1932 by Henri Pacon for the CF de l'Etat replacing the older building along with a new clock tower. It is a terminus and the passenger hall is parallel to the street. Of the old building, only the rooftop by Juste Lisch remains.
