Tăriceanu I Cabinet
The first Tăriceanu cabinet was the cabinet of the government of Romania led by former PNL leader Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu between 29 December 2004 and 5 April 2007. It succeeded the Năstase cabinet and was succeeded by the second Tăriceanu cabinet. It was a coalition government which was formed by the National Liberal Party (PNL), the Democratic Party (PD), the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), and the Romanian Humanist Party/Conservative Party (PUR/PC). Additionally, it also consisted of three Ministers of State (one for each party of the coalition, except for the National Liberal Party, which held the position of Prime Minister), 15 Ministers, and 6 Ministers Delegate. Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu
Călin Constantin Anton Popescu-Tăriceanu (; born 14 January 1952) is a Romanian politician who was Prime Minister of Romania from 29 December 2004 to 22 December 2008. He was also president of the National Liberal Party (PNL) and the vice-president of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party (ELDR), two positions he assumed in 2004. He previously served as the President of the Senate, the second position in the Romanian state, from 10 March 2014 until he resigned on 2 September 2019, having previously resigned from his own party, the PNL, and then becoming an independent senator. In July 2014, he established the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) which later merged with the Conservative Party (PC) in order to form the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE). Adriean Videanu
Adriean Marian Videanu (; born 1 June 1962) is a businessman and former mayor of Bucharest, Romania. He is also a vice president of the Democratic Liberal Party of Romania, which was led by Emil Boc and the Minister of Economy in the Boc Cabinet, since 22 December 2008. A businessman in the marble and granite industry, Videanu was elected mayor in early April 2005, gathering 53.01% of the Bucharest electorate's vote, but the turnout was the lowest since 1989, with only 24.83% of the voters turning up. Starting with 2008 Videanu is under corruption investigation regarding a business with raw materials for constructions (i.e. curbstones). Monica Luisa Macovei (; born 4 February 1959) is a Romanian politician, lawyer and former prosecutor, and former Member of the European Parliament from the European Conservatives and Reformists and formerly a member of the Romanian Democratic Liberal Party (PDL). Béla Markó (born September 8, 1951 in Târgu Secuiesc, Covasna County, Socialist Republic of Romania) is a Romanian politician and writer of Hungarian ethnicity.
