Türkçevizyon
''Uluslarası Türkçe Sözlü Müzik Festivali'' (Turkish: ''International Festival of Music with Turkish Lyrics''), or simply ''Türkçevizyon'' is an annual music festival in Denizli, Turkey since 2009. The festival is hosted by Denizli municipality and Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. Unlike Türkvizyon, a similar contest hosted by TRT, Türkçevizyon is not solely competitive, during the festival, concerts and other cultural activities are also scheduled. The Gala night is located in Pamukkale Antique Theatre, and all participants sing only in Turkish language. The festival aims to emphasize the importance of Turkish, however it is widely criticized for having "-vision" or "festival" words, which are not Turkish originated. The festival, as well as Turkvizyon contest, are both considered as a Turkish alternative to Eurovision Song Contest, which Turkey is inactive since 2012. Türkvizyon Song Contest
The Turkvision Song Contest (TSC, tr, Türkvizyon Şarkı Yarışması), also known as the Türkvizyon Song Contest, is a recurring song contest created by Turkish music channel TMB TV, inspired by the format of the Eurovision Song Contest. The first edition took place in Eskişehir, Turkey in December 2013. Countries and regions which were Turkic-speaking and of Turkic ethnicity are eligible to participate in the song contest. The contest was last held on 20 December 2020 as an online event hosted from Istanbul, Turkey. History Turkvision is a song contest which was created by TÜRKSOY in cooperation with the Turkish music channel TMB TV. Denizli is an industrial city in the southwestern part of Turkey and the eastern end of the alluvial valley formed by the river Büyük Menderes, where the plain reaches an elevation of about . Turkish Radio And Television Corporation
The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT; Turkish : ) is the national public broadcaster of Turkey, founded in 1964. TRT was for many years the only television and radio provider in Turkey. Before the introduction of commercial radio in 1990, and subsequently commercial television in 1992, it held a monopoly on broadcasting. More recent deregulation of the Turkish television broadcasting market produced analogue cable television. Today, TRT broadcasts around the world, especially in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia. The Cihan News Agency ( tr, Cihan Haber Ajansı) was a Turkish news agency based in Istanbul. The agency, established in 1994, was part of Feza Publications, which also owned '' Zaman'' newspaper and ''Aksiyon'', a weekly news magazine. Cihan New Agency, which produced news in the fields of current events, politics, economy, foreign news, art-magazine and sports, was daily servicing approximately 450 written news, 315 photos and 100 video news. ''Radikal'' () was a daily liberal Turkish language newspaper, published in Istanbul. From 1996 it was published by Aydın Doğan's Doğan Media Group. Denizli Chicken
The Denizli is a breed of rooster developed in Denizli, Turkey. It is characterised by its long-crowing abilities, with the general guideline being a crow of 20–25 seconds in their first year. The breed is divided into 3 groups based on colour, body structure, and comb types. It is described as having black eyes, dark gray or purple leg colour, with silver or red hackles and sometimes red feathering on the wings. They weigh 3–3.5 kg. It has been the symbol of both Denizli City and Province for at least nine hundred years, after excavations at Laodicea on the Lycus revealed a 900-year-old relief of the cities symbol.
