Türker Armaner (born April 7, 1968 in Istanbul) is an Istanbul-based writer, philosopher, and translator. He studied at the universities of Hacettepe, Boğaziçi, and Bergen and took his PhD degree in 2002 at Paris 8 University ( Saint Denis) His first story was published on ''Hayalet Gemi'' (Phantom Ship) in 1995. His first book, ''Kıyısız'' (Shoreless), was published in 1997, his second book, ''Taş Hücre'' (Stone Cell), in 2000, his third book, ''Dalgakıran'' (Breakwater), in 2003, his novel, ''Tahta Saplı Bıçak'' (Wooden Hilted Knife) in 2007 and his last book, a philosophical inquiry, ''Tarih ve Temsil'' (History and Representation) in 2014. Türker İnanoğlu
Türker İnanoğlu (born May 18, 1936) is a Turkish screenwriter, film director and producer. Life He married first the film actress Filiz Akın, and after his divorce Gülşen Bubikoğlu, another former Turkish movie star. He has two children, a son, İlker, from his former marriage and a daughter, Zeynep, from his last marriage. Career İnanoğlu came in contact with the cinema when he was a student at the Istanbul Academy of Applied Fine Arts in 1957. After working as assistant to directors Ömer Lütfi Akat and Nişan Hançer in eleven movies, he directed in 1960 his first feature ''Senden Ayrı Yaşayamam''. After directing nine movies in the studios of Yeşilçam, the Turkish Hollywood, İnanoğlu established in 1959 his own film company Erler Film, which is today the oldest film production company in Turkey still in business. Berç Türker (also known as Berç Türker Keresteci or Berç Keresteciyan Türker; or Berj Kerestejian, hy, Պերճ Քերեստեջյան) (1870–1949) was an Ottoman- Turkish bank executive and politician of ethnic Armenian origin. Early life Türker was born in 1870 in Constantinople, the capital of the Ottoman Empire, into an Armenian family. His father Mgrdich Kerestejian, manager of the customs office of Constantinople, died when he was five years old. His unmarried uncle Bedros Keresteciyan, manager at the External Communications Office of the Sublime Porte up to 1890 and manager of the Translation Office of the Finance Ministry until his death in 1909, a hyperpolyglot in 10 languages and author of the etymological dictionary of the Turkish language, raised him and greatly influenced his formation.
