Télématin
''Télématin'' is a French breakfast television news show, broadcast on France 2 since January 7, 1985. It is broadcast in Metropolitan France weekdays from 6:30 to 9:00 am CET. TV5 broadcast the show in Canada in its 150-minute entirety until September 2011: since then, a shortened 90-minute version is shown between 6:30 and 8:00 am Eastern Time. ''Télématin'' has been hosted for its entire run by William Leymergie, who also serves as the show's producer. The show is daily seen by around 40% of the French morning audience, a very high percentage for French TV. Sophie Le Saint
Sophie Le Saint (born 22 July 1968) is a French journalist and television presenter. From November 1998 to July 2019, she was a presenter on channel France 2 hosting ''Télématin'' and as a replacing presenter at the '' Journal de 13 heures'', and in exceptional occasions at the ''Journal de 20 heures''. Education and early career Sophie Le Saint was born in Parthenay in the department of Deux-Sèvres. She graduated at the Institute of Journalism of Bordeaux and began her career at France Bleu Provence as a volunteer where she presents the night programs, and followed with an internship at M6 in 1989. She then worked at the redaction department of the daily newspaper ''Le Figaro'' from 1991 to 1994, and on TF1 as a stringer. William Leymergie
William Leymergie (born 4 February 1947 in Libourne) is a French journalist television producer and host, best known for the French breakfast television news show ''Télématin'', broadcast on public broadcaster France 2 and TV5 in Canada. Biography After completing an arts degree at University of Paris X: Nanterre, Leymergie began his career at the External Affairs and Cooperation department (now Radio France Internationale) of the Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française (ORTF) in 1970. In 1972, he joined the children's programming department as well as the France Inter radio station. In 1974, he became a journalist at the TF1 television network. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen.
