Tysmenytsia Raion
Tysmenytsia Raion ( uk, Ти́сменицький райо́н, translit=Tysmenyćkyj rajon) was an raion, administrative raion (raion, district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (oblast, province) in western Ukraine. It was created on December 8, 1966, as Ivano-Frankivsk Raion. Since March 28, 1982 the name of raion was changed to Tysmenytsia when the administrative center of it became the city of Tysmenytsia. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Oblast to six. The area of Tysmenytsia Raion was merged into Ivano-Frankivsk Raion. The last estimate of the raion population was . Raions of Ukraine (often translated as "districts"; Ukrainian: ра́йон, tr. ''raion''; plural: райо́ни, tr. ''raiony'') are the second level of administrative division in Ukraine, below the oblast. Tysmenytsia Urban Hromada
Tysmenytsia ( uk, Ти́смениця, translit=Tysmenycia; pl, Tyśmienica) is a city in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast of western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Tysmenytsia urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: . Geography The city is also located in very close vicinity to the administrative center of Prykarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk. It has a population of 9,600 people according to the Ukrainian Census (2001). The city is famous for its fur factory "Tysmenytsia" that was established back in 1891. In the Soviet times the factory was the fourth major factory within the fur industry of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Ukrainian SSR. Bohorodchany Raion
Bohorodchany raion ( uk, Богородча́нський райо́н, translit=Bohorodčanśkyj rajon) was a district (raion) of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast in Ukraine. The urban-type settlement of Bohorodchany was the administrative center of the district. The raion was vaguely reminiscent with the Bohorodczan Powiat of the Stanisławów Voivodeship (1920 - 1932). Yamnytsia ( uk, Ямниця, pl, Jamnica) is a village of Ivano-Frankivsk Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine, just few miles north from Ivano-Frankivsk. It hosts the administration of Yamnytsia rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The village is better known for the Battle of Yamnytsia during the Kerensky Offensive, when the Russian Imperial Army successfully secured area north of Ivano-Frankivsk, Stanislau for a brief period of time (June 27–July 6, 1917). During the battle, all the Kornilov Strike regiment soldiers were awarded the Cross of St. George. Until 18 July 2020, Yamnytsia belonged to Tysmenytsia Raion.
