Tyronne Gross
Tyrone Gross (born May 14, 1983 in Stockton, California) is a former American football running back. He was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Eastern Oregon. Early years Gross attended Lincoln High School in Stockton, California and was a student and a letterman in football. Tyronne Gross graduated from Lincoln High School in 2001. College career Gross played college football at Sacramento State University and Eastern Oregon University. Professional career San Diego Chargers After going undrafted in the 2006 NFL Draft, Gross signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent. He spent his entire rookie season on the team's practice squad. Gross suffered a dislocated kneecap during the 2007 preseason and was placed on season-ending injured reserve. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. The primary roles of a running back are to receive American football plays#Offensive terminology, handoffs from the quarterback to Rush (American football)#Offense, rush the ball, to line up as a receiver to catch the ball, and Blocking (American football), block. There are usually one or two running backs on the field for a given play, depending on the offensive formation. Injured Reserve
The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. Injured reserve lists are used because the rules of these leagues allow for only a certain numbers of players on each team's roster. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players. Eastern Oregon University (EOU) (officially designated as Oregon’s Rural University) is a public university in La Grande, Oregon. It was formerly part of the Oregon University System, since dissolved. EOU was founded in 1929 as a teacher’s college and today serves as a center for education, culture, and scholarship in rural areas of Oregon. The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees.
