Typhoon (rapper)
Glenn de Randamie (born 6 August 1984), better known by his stage name Typhoon, is a Dutch rapper. He is signed to Dutch hip-hop record label Top Notch. Biography Typhoon was born and raised in the Dutch town of 't Harde. Inspired by his brother Blaxtar, Typhoon started writing at the age of 12 and as a rap artist with the group Rudeteenz, which he joined in when he was 15. It consisted of him, Blaxtar and the well-known Dutch hip-hop formation Opgezwolle. He made some guest appearances for Opgezwolle before winning ''Grote Prijs'', the biggest hip-hop prize in the Netherlands. In the same year he got his VWO diploma at Carolus Clusius College in Zwolle. After winning ''Grote Prijs'', Typhoon signed to the record label Top Notch. He started making separate thematic songs for a Dutch music channel called "The Box" with the producer Nav. The themes varied from religion and sexism to money and sex. 't Harde
t Harde is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is situated about 6 km southeast of Elburg, on the edge of the Veluwe forest. It has a train station with connections to Zwolle and Amersfoort. The village's population is approximately 6,685 people. History 't Harde is a relatively young village. The village is called 't Harde because it was built on a patch of solid ground in the middle of a swamp. In Dutch, ''hard'' has the same meaning as "hard" in English; as in: hard surface. After a military base was established near the village, the village expanded. 't Harde even got a swimming pool in 1953, which was very modern for that time. The pool was also used as a water supply to extinguish any fires that occurred in the vicinity of the village. Between 1961 and 1992, the village had a depository for U.S. tactical nuclear weapons. NPO 3FM is a Dutch rhythmic CHR radio station controlled by public broadcaster NPO. The vast majority of the songs played on-air are rock, alternative, indie and pop, though dance and Mega Top 30 tracks may also air at times. NPO FunX is a Dutch public radio station which has been on air since 3 August 2002. The station runs mainly urban music. The station is aimed at an audience of young people between 15 and 34 years. It concentrates on such music styles as R&B, Hip hop, Latin, Reggae, Dancehall, Oriental, Arabpop, Turkpop, Farsipop, Banghra, Rai, French-African hip hop, Mandopop, and various crossover styles.
