Tyler Mahle
Tyler Fermin Mahle ( ; born September 29, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2017 with the Cincinnati Reds. Amateur career Mahle attended Westminster High School in Westminster, California. He committed to play college baseball at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the seventh round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. Professional career Cincinnati Reds Mahle signed with the Reds and made his professional debut that same year with the Arizona League Reds, going 1–3 with a 2.36 ERA in 34.1 innings pitched. He spent 2014 with the Billings Mustangs where he was 5–4 with a 3.87 ERA in 15 starts and 2015 with the Dayton Dragons where he pitched to a 13–8 record and 2.43 ERA in 27 games (26 starts). In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Dayton Dragons
The Dayton Dragons are a Minor League Baseball team of the Midwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. They are located in Dayton, Ohio, and play their home games at Day Air Ballpark, formerly known as Fifth Third Field. In 2011, they broke the record for most consecutive sellouts by a professional sports team, selling out their 815th consecutive game, breaking the record formerly held by the Portland Trail Blazers. Mexican League
The Mexican League (, ) is a professional baseball league based in Mexico and the oldest running professional league in the country. The league has 18 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season. Five teams in each division advance to a four-round postseason tournament that culminates in the Serie del Rey, a best-of-seven championship series between the two division champions. The Mexican League has two affiliated minor leagues, the Liga Norte de México and Mexican Academy League. Gregory Norman Mahle (born April 17, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos of the Mexican League. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he played college baseball for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos team. Mahle was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American after his 2012 collegiate season. The Angels selected him with the 449 pick in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. Amateur career Steer attended Millikan High School in Long Beach, California.
