Tyler Ervin
Tyler Anthony Ervin (born October 7, 1993) is a former American football running back and return specialist. He played college football at San Jose State. Early life Ervin was born in San Bernardino, California. He attended Colton High School, where he played high school football. College career A two-star recruit, Ervin attracted two offers from Idaho and San Jose State. On January 16, 2011, Ervin signed with San José State University. Ervin began playing for the San Jose State Spartans as a true freshman in 2011 at running back and return specialist. He became the first player to return a kickoff for a touchdown since 2005, when he returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown on November 12 against Utah State. A touchdown (abbreviated as TD) is a scoring play in gridiron football. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone. AP Poll
The Associated Press poll (AP poll) provides weekly rankings of the top 25 NCAA teams in one of three Division I college sports: football, men's basketball and women's basketball. The rankings are compiled by polling 62 sportswriters and broadcasters from across the nation. Each voter provides their own ranking of the top 25 teams, and the individual rankings are then combined to produce the national ranking by giving a team 25 points for a first place vote, 24 for a second place vote, and so on down to 1 point for a twenty-fifth place vote. 2012 UTSA Roadrunners Football Team
The 2012 UTSA Roadrunners football team represented the University of Texas at San Antonio in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This was the second season for football at UTSA and their first as members of the Western Athletic Conference. Larry Coker returned as the team's coach for a second season. The team played its home games at the Alamodome. This was the second of a two-year FCS to FBS transition period for UTSA, so they were not bowl-eligible. The 2012 San Jose State Spartans football team represented San Jose State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Spartans were led by third year head coach Mike MacIntyre and played their home games at Spartan Stadium. They were members of the Western Athletic Conference.
