Tyler Cornish (born 17 October 1994) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. He plays at and . He previously played for the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League. Background Born in Goulburn, New South Wales, Cornish played his junior rugby league for the Goulburn Stockmen, before being signed by the Sydney Roosters. Cornish is the younger brother of Sydney Roosters player Mitch Cornish. Playing career Early career In 2013 and 2014, Cornish played for the Sydney Roosters' NYC team. In June 2014, he re-signed with the Roosters on a two-year contract until the end of 2016. In 2015, he graduated to their New South Wales Cup team, the Wyong Roos. 2017 In 2017, Cornish joined the Gold Coast Titans. The NSW Cup, currently known as the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a rugby league competition for clubs in New South Wales. The competition has a history dating back to the NSWRFL's origins in 1908, starting off as a reserve grade competition, and is now the premier open age competition in the state. The NSW Cup was the Reserve Grade/Presidents Cup/First Division from 1908 until 2002, and the NSWRL Premier League from 2003 to 2007, the NSW Cup from 2008 to 2015, the Intrust Super Premiership NSW from 2016 to 2018, the Canterbury Cup NSW from 2019 to 2020. The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Parramatta Stadium (formerly Cumberland Oval). As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the co-tenants at Western Sydney Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium. It took thirty years for the club to make the grand final, which they did in 1976 and 1977, losing on both occasions. However, this period foreshadowed their most successful period in the early 1980s, when they won four premierships and qualified for five grand finals in six seasons.
