Tyke Tolbert
Tyke Tolbert (born September 15, 1967) is an American football coach and former player who is the wide receivers coach for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Tolbert previously served as wide receivers coach for the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and New York Giants. College playing career Tyke attended Louisiana State University (LSU), where he played wide receiver for the LSU Tigers football team. Coaching career College Coaching Tolbert started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at LSU in the spring of 1994 and quickly transferred to Northeast Louisiana to also work as a graduate assistant in the fall. Super Bowl
The Super Bowl is the annual final playoff game of the National Football League (NFL) to determine the league champion. 2002 Florida Gators Football Team
The 2002 Florida Gators football team represented the University of Florida in the sport of American football during the 2002 college football season. 1998 Auburn Tigers Football Team
The 1998 Auburn Tigers football team represented Auburn University in the 1998 NCAA Division I-A football season. After using six different centers on the offensive line due to injury, Auburn finished the season with a 3–8 record. The Tigers began the season coached by Terry Bowden, who led the team to a 1–5 start. Criticism of the coaching arose among fans and key supporters, which resulted in Bowden's resignation on October 23, the day before the Tigers played Louisiana Tech. Defensive coordinator Bill Oliver became the interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Auburn played Alabama on November 21 for the last time at Legion Field in Birmingham. Since then, the Iron Bowl has generally been hosted on an alternating basis at the respective on-campus stadium. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. 1994 LSU Tigers Football Team
The 1994 LSU Tigers football team represented Louisiana State University in the 1994 NCAA Division I-A football season. LSU finished with a 4–7 overall record (3–5 in SEC play). It was Curley Hallman's final season as head coach, as he was fired with two games remaining in the season, although he coached those contests. The beginning of the end for Hallman came in the season's third game. LSU led an Auburn squad, which went 11–0 in 1993 and won its first two games of 1994 under Terry Bowden, 23–9 going into the final period, but lost 30–26 when Auburn returned three interceptions for touchdowns in the fourth quarter. A graduate assistant serves in a support role at a university, usually while completing post-graduate education. The assistant typically helps professors with instructional responsibilities as teaching assistants or with academic research responsibilities as research assistants, aids coaches with an athletic team, or is employed by other university departments (such as housing or academic advising). Rather than receive hourly wages, GAs are often remunerated in the form of a stipend. Assistantships provide experience for graduate students, increasing their future employment options.
