Ty Gurfein
Tyler Gurfein (born November 4, 1989, in Manhattan, New York) is an American dancer performing with the Staatsballett Berlin in Berlin, Germany and previously with Ballett Zürich in Zürich, Switzerland and Morphoses/ The Wheeldon Company. He trained at the School of American Ballet and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre then joining ABT II in 2007. Tyler Gurfein has performed in countries such as U.S.A, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Greece, Denmark, Holland, France, United Kingdom, Turkey, Israel, Andorra and Thailand. Christopher Peter Wheeldon OBE (born 22 March 1973) is an English international choreographer of contemporary ballet. Life and career Born in Yeovil, Somerset, to an engineer and a physical therapist, Wheeldon began training to be a ballet dancer at the age of 8. He attended the Royal Ballet School between the ages of 11 and 18. In 1991, Wheeldon joined the Royal Ballet, London; and in that same year, he won the gold medal at the Prix de Lausanne competition.
