Ty Burhoe
Ty Burhoe is an American tabla player and live concert producer. He is known primarily in Classical Indian and fusion settings. Burhoe has studied with Ustad Zakir Hussain since 1990. Since 1995, Burhoe has served as Zakir Hussain's tour assistant as well as the designer for his custom drums and drum racks which Zakir uses for his tours with Shakti, ''Masters of Percussion'', Mickey Hart & Planet Drum, Charles Lloyd Trio and Lines Ballet collaborations. Burhoe appears on the soundtracks of the Academy Award-winning documentary '' Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids'' (2004). Amy Ippoliti (born December 6, 1969) is an American Yoga teacher, author, and earth conservationist. She is the co-founder of 90 Monkeys, an online school for advanced yoga education. Amy has studied yoga for over 30 years and has been teaching since 1997. Early life and education Ippoliti was born in New York, New York. Ippoliti began practicing yoga at the age of 16 in the Sivananda tradition of yoga. After graduating from Oberlin College with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, Ippoliti returned to New York where she taught self-defense and fitness classes while continuing to practice yoga. Alonzo King
Alonzo King, born in Georgia to civil-rights activists Slater King and Valencia King Nelson, is an American dancer and choreographer based in San Francisco. King grew up in Georgia and California, and, as an adult, decided his contribution would be teaching and choreography. In 1982, having established himself as a well-respected teacher, he founded Alonzo King LINES Ballet. Charles Lloyd (born March 15, 1938) is an American jazz musician. Though he primarily plays tenor saxophone and flute, he has occasionally recorded on other reed instruments, including alto saxophone and the Hungarian tárogató. Lloyd's primary band since 2007 has been a quartet including pianist Jason Moran, acoustic bassist Reuben Rogers, and drummer Eric Harland. Early life and education Charles Lloyd was born and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, and was exposed to blues, gospel and jazz. He is of African, Cherokee, Mongolian, and Irish ancestry. Mickey Hart
Mickey Hart (born Michael Steven Hartman, September 11, 1943) is an American percussionist. He is best known as one of the two drummers of the rock band Grateful Dead. He was a member of the Grateful Dead from September 1967 until February 1971, and again from October 1974 until their final show in July 1995. He and fellow Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann earned the nickname "the rhythm devils".
