Educating Essex
''Educating Essex'' is the first series of the British documentary television program ''Educating'' produced by Twofour for Channel 4 that ran for seven episodes from September to November 2011. It uses a fly on the wall format to show the everyday lives of the staff and pupils of Passmores Academy, a secondary school in Harlow, Essex, interspersed with interviews of those involved and featuring narration from the director and interviewer, David Clews. The series received mixed media coverage: it was largely praised for its insight into the lives and behaviour of teenagers and the education system, but was also criticised for its depiction of pupils and teachers using profanity, as well as bullying and teenage pregnancy. Educating Yorkshire
''Educating Yorkshire'' is the second series of the British documentary television programme ''Educating'' broadcast on Channel 4. The eight-episode first series was first broadcast on 5 September 2013. Its format is based on the BAFTA Award-winning 2011 series ''Educating Essex''. It follows the everyday lives of the staff and pupils of Thornhill Community Academy, a secondary school in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. A Christmas special entitled ''Educating Yorkshire at Christmas'' was aired on 19 December 2013. An episode titled ''Educating Yorkshire: One Year On'' was broadcast on 21 August 2014. ''Ibiza Weekender'' is a British reality television series that premiered on ITV2 on 6 January 2013. The series follows a group of 18-24 year olds spending a weekend at a hotel resort on the island of Ibiza, Spain. ''Watercolour Challenge'' is a daytime television lifestyle game show that originally aired on Channel 4 from 15 June 1998 to 23 November 2001 and presented by Hannah Gordon. On 28 April 2021, it was announced that the show would be returning but on Channel 5 and presented by Fern Britton. Format In the programme, four amateur artists were given three hours to paint, in watercolour, the same scene or landscape, often with widely different interpretations. A programme was screened each day when at the end of each episode, the guest professional artist for the week judged the paintings and selected the winner, who would then appear in a regional final on Friday, and if successful would compete in the end of series final. Charles Wace (born 24 September 1961) is a British businessman, and a founder of the media group Twofour, a factual, features and entertainment television production and content agency. Wace stepped down as chief executive (CEO), following a sale of the group to LDC (Lloyds Development Capital) in 2013. Wace is now CEO of Limesnapper, which invests in a range of businesses that have intellectual property at their heart. It has also invested in residential and commercial property in London, South West England and the West Indies.
