Two Rock is an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California, United States. It is located on Stemple Creek in a rural area west of Petaluma. A hill named Dos Piedras (Spanish for "two rocks", above sea level) overlooks the community from the north. The main road is Valley Ford Road, which passes northwest–southeast through Two Rock. Stemple Creek
Stemple Creek is a long, westward-flowing stream in the California counties of Sonoma and Marin, which feeds into the Estero de San Antonio. Its waters ultimately reach Bodega Bay, part of the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary on the Pacific Ocean. Course Stemple Creek springs from low-lying coastal hills southwest of Cotati. It crosses under Stony Point Road and runs about southeast before turning westward. Tomales is a census-designated place (CDP) on State Route 1 in Marin County, California, United States. The population was 187 at the 2020 census. Geography Tomales is located above Keys Creek, about northeast of Tomales Bay. Cotati (; Miwok: ''Kota’ti'') is an incorporated city in Sonoma County, California, United States, located approximately north of San Francisco in the 101 corridor between Rohnert Park and Petaluma. Cotati's population as of the 2020 Census was 7,584, making it the smallest incorporated community in Sonoma County. Bloomfield, California
Bloomfield is a census-designated place in Sonoma County, California, U.S. It is located in a rural area about southwest of Santa Rosa at the junction of Bloomfield Road and Valley Ford Road. Americano Creek flows westward along the south edge of the town. History Bloomfield is located on part of Rancho Cañada de Pogolimi. In 1853, William Zellhardt built a house on the site of present-day Bloomfield, which attracted other immigrants and led to plans for a town in 1856. At one point in the late 1850s, Bloomfield was the second largest town in Sonoma County, and in 1877 it had four hotels and a population of 250. However, the town never recovered from being bypassed by the railroads, and its growth tapered off.
