Russel David Kevin Van Dulken (born November 14, 1999), better known as Twistzz, is a Canadian professional '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' player for FaZe Clan. He has previously played for top teams such as Team SoloMid, Misfits and Team Liquid. Twistzz was named the MVP of ESL One New York 2018 and IEM Sydney 2019 by HLTV. Early life Twistzz was born on November 14, 1999. He began playing video games with his dad and his first FPS game was Quake. After his father moved away, Twistzz started playing games for longer periods of time. Twistzz and his mom eventually moved in with her boyfriend and Twistzz started playing ''Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' (CS:GO). His mom's boyfriend started verbally abusing Twistzz which stalled his progress in CS:GO. In 2014 his mom chose to leave her boyfriend and Twistzz was able to make progress in CS:GO once again. HLTV, formerly an acronym of Half-Life Television, is a news website and forum which covers professional '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' esports news, tournaments and statistics. It is one of the leading websites within the ''Counter-Strike'' community with over 4 million unique visitors each month. In February 2020, the site was acquired by the sports betting group Better Collective. History HLTV was founded in 2002 by Martin "Martin" Rosenbæk and Per "Nomad" Lambæk. It was initially created to host recordings of '' Counter-Strike 1.6'' matches, although it grew to include ''Counter-Strike'' and ''Half-Life'' news. ESL One Cologne 2019
ESL One Cologne 2019 is a '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' tournament run by ESL. In July 2019, sixteen teams from around the globe competed in an offline ( LAN) tournament that featured a group stage and playoffs with a US$300,000 prize pool. This event and Intel Extreme Masters Season XIV - Chicago were the last events before teams playing at StarLadder Major: Berlin 2019 took a month break before heading to the Major. This tournament is the fifth tournament of the second season of the Intel Grand Slam, which a list of international premier tournaments run by ESL and DreamHack. Each team gets ten tournaments that it participates in to have a chance at winning four of them. The first team to win four titles earns an extra $1,000,000. PGL Major Stockholm 2021
The PGL Major Stockholm 2021, also known as PGL Major 2021 or Stockholm 2021, was the sixteenth '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' (''CS:GO'') Major Championship. It was held in Stockholm, Sweden at the Avicii Arena from October 26 to November 7, 2021. Twenty-four teams qualified via regional major rankings. It featured a prize pool, a rise from the of previous Majors due to the absence of offline competition amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the second Major hosted by the Romanian organization PGL, after PGL Major: Kraków 2017. Stockholm 2021 was the first Major after a break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic following the StarLadder Major: Berlin 2019. Sean Michael Gares, better known as sgares or Seang@res, is an American professional retired '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' player, esports commentator and the former head coach of 100 Thieves' Valorant roster. In December 2016, he was released from TSM over a player rights controversy and played for Misfits between January 2017 and January 2018. Early life Gares graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in medical biochemistry. He joined his first professional team Emazing Gaming in 2009. Career Starting from local Arizona teams before 2010, when he joined Ruins, Gares distinguished himself for being one of the most aggressive AWPers in North America. The StarLadder Major: Berlin 2019, also known as StarLadder Major 2019 or Berlin 2019, was the fifteenth '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' (''CS:GO'') Major Championship.
