Twista
Carl Terrell Mitchell (born November 27, 1973), better known by his stage name Twista (formerly Tung Twista), is an American rapper and record producer. He is best known for his Chopper (rap), chopper style of rapping and for once holding the title of fastest English-speaking rapper in the world according to Guinness World Records in 1992, being able to pronounce 598 syllables in 55 seconds. In 1997, after appearing on Do or Die (group), Do or Die's hit single "Po Pimp", produced by the Legendary Traxster, Twista signed with Big Beat and Atlantic Records, where he released his third album ''Adrenaline Rush (album), Adrenaline Rush'' and formed the group Speedknot Mobstaz, in 1998. His 2004 album ''Kamikaze (Twista album), Kamikaze'' topped the U.S. Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200, after the success of the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 number-one single "Slow Jamz" (with Kanye West and Jamie Foxx). ''Kamikaze'' is the fourth studio album by American rapper Twista. It was released on January 27, 2004, by Atlantic Records. The album reached the top of the US ''Billboard'' 200 chart in early 2004, after the success of its lead single, "Slow Jamz". It sold 312,000 units in its first week of sales, and received generally positive reviews from critics. It is Twista's most successful album, being certified Platinum by the RIAA.
