Twine is a strong Thread (yarn), thread, light String (cord), string or cord composed of two or more thinner strands twisted, and then twisted together (Plying, plied). Software Twine emphasizes the visual structure of hypertext, and does not require knowledge of a programming language as many other game development tools do. Derek Milton Twine FRSA (born 1951) is a British charity CEO, trustee and consultant who served as the Chief Scout Executive of the Scout Association from 1996 to 2013. He is an elected member of the Council of the Scout Association. He is an Honorary Lay Canon in the Diocese of Leeds. Twine's research has made significant contributions to interdisciplinary research in gender and sexuality studies, racism/anti-racism, feminist studies, science and technology studies, British cultural studies, and qualitative research methods.
