Twice Born
''Twice Born'' ( it, Venuto al mondo, links=no) is a 2012 film directed by Sergio Castellitto which stars Penélope Cruz and Emile Hirsch. It is based on the novel ''Venuto al mondo'' by Margaret Mazzantini which won the Premio Campiello literary prize in 2009. Plot Oft-married Gemma visits Sarajevo with her only child, Pietro. The two of them had escaped the city sixteen years ago, just days after his birth during the Bosnian War. Diego, her second husband and Pietro's father, remained behind and later died. As they travel with her wartime friend Gojko, she tries to repair her relationship with Pietro, asking her third husband (by phone) if she should tell Pietro that she did not give birth to him. Gemma is later stunned by the revelation that Pietro's real mother, Aska, is still alive and married to Gojko. Sergio Castellitto
Sergio Castellitto (born 18 August 1953) is an Italian actor, film director, and screenwriter. Biography Sergio Castellitto was born in Rome in 1953, to parents from Molise and Abruzzo, Southern Italy. After graduating from the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art in 1978, he began his theatrical career in Italian public theater with Shakespeare's ''Measure for Measure'' at the Teatro di Roma and with roles in other plays such as ''La Madre'' by Brecht, ''Merchant of Venice'', and ''Candelaio'' by Giordano Bruno. At the Teatro di Genova he starred in the roles of Tuzenbach in Chekhov's ''Three Sisters'' and Jean in Strindberg's ''Miss Julie'', both under the direction of Otomar Krejka. In the coming years, he also starred in such theatrical productions as ''L'infelicità senza desideri'' and ''Piccoli equivoci'' at the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto. Branko Đurić
Branko Đurić ( sh-Cyrl, Бранко Ђурић; born 28 May 1962), also known by his nickname Đuro (Cyrillic: Ђуро), is a Bosnian actor, comedian, film director and musician, who lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Born and raised in Sarajevo, Đurić rose to prominence throughout Yugoslavia with the hit comedy series ''Top lista nadrealista'' during the 1980s. Đuro became something of an epitome for the Bosnian people, primarily due to his accent and slang. He was also one of the founding members of SCH and the frontman of the award-winning Sarajevo rock band Bombaj Štampa. In August 1992, several months into the Bosnian War, he moved to Slovenia where he has been residing ever since.
