Twentyfour Income Fund () is a large British investment trust. Established in 2013, it is dedicated to investing in less liquid, higher yield investments. The chairman is Trevor Ash. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and it is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index The FTSE 250 Index ( "Footsie") is a capitalisation-weighted index consisting of the 101st to the 350th largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. Promotions and demotions to and from the index occur quarterly in March, June, Septemb .... It is managed by Twentyfour, which is part of the Vontobel Group. In March 2022, the company announced that it would merge with UK Mortgages in a transaction worth £700 million. The transaction will result in UK Mortgages being wound up. An investment trust is a form of investment fund found mostly in the United Kingdom and Japan. Investment trusts are constituted as public limited companies and are therefore closed ended since the fund managers cannot redeem or create shares. The first investment trust was the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust, started in 1868 "to give the investor of moderate means the same advantages as the large capitalists in diminishing the risk by spreading the investment over a number of stocks".
