Twan Huys
Twan Huys (born 24 March 1964) is a Dutch journalist, television presenter and author. He is the presenter of the Dutch TV shows ''Nieuwsuur'' and '' College Tour''. Previously, he worked as a correspondent and presenter for '' NOVA''. The format of ''College Tour'' was conceived by Huys while working as a U.S. correspondent in New York City and Washington, D.C. from 1999 until 2007. Early life and career Huys studied at the Academy for Journalism in Tilburg from 1983 until 1986, after which he went to work for the regional broadcasting company in the Dutch province of Limburg. He then worked for STAD Radio Amsterdam and VARA. From 1992 until September 2010, he worked for news program ''NOVA'', and from that month onwards, he has worked for ''NOVA's'' successor, ''Nieuwsuur''. Sevenum
Sevenum (; li, Zaerem) is a town in the province of Limburg in the southeastern Netherlands. Until 2010, it was also the name of the municipality comprising the towns of Sevenum, Kronenberg and Evertsoord. Amusement park Toverland is located in sevenum. Location Sevenum's neighbour towns are (clockwise, starting from East): Blerick, Venlo, Maasbree, Kronenberg, Grubbenvorst, Hegelsom, Horst, Grubbenvorst. Sevenum-town and Kronenberg are tangented by highway E34, provincial road N277 ( Middenpeelweg), and the railroad track Eindhoven-Venlo; Evertsoord lies on the edge of the Peel, a former peatland. Humberto Tan-A-Kiam (born 26 October 1965), better known as Humberto Tan, is a Dutch radio and television presenter, sports journalist and writer of Surinamese descent. Career After obtaining his vwo-diploma Tan studied law at the University of Amsterdam, where he obtained his law degree. He made his television debut on Sonja Barend's talk show as a member of ''De tafel van 7'' (English: "The table of 7"). In 1991 the AVRO hired Tan as editor for the television program ''Forza TV'', which he quickly after started presenting together with Jessica Broekhuis. Two years later he moved to Studio Sport and presented the '' NOS Journal'' for some time. ''RTL Late Night'' was a Dutch late night television talkshow. It was broadcast from August 26, 2013, to March 4, 2019, on commercial station RTL 4 on weekdays between 22:30 and 23:40. Background In the daily program, guests are seated at a table to discuss current news or sport topics. Richard Groenendijk, Jan Heemskerk, Jan van Hooff, Goedele Liekens, Frits Spits, Saskia Noort, Arjan Postma, Gerard Ekdom and Jan Jaap van der Wal had a recurring appearance in the show's broadcasts. Nieuwsuur (''News Hour'') is a Dutch current affairs television program produced for the NPO by the government broadcasters NOS and NTR. It is broadcast daily between 9.30 pm and 10 pm (9.30-10 pm at weekends) on NPO 2. The programme pays particular attention to Dutch and European politics, as well as other international events; in addition, there is a sports news bulletin in each broadcast. History As early as 2008 there were plans for a new news programme, combining NOVA, the NOS Journaal and ''Den Haag Vandaag'' (The Hague Today).
