Anna Tuthill Symmes
Anna Tuthill Harrison ( ''née'' Symmes; July 25, 1775 – February 25, 1864) was the first Lady of the United States in 1841 as the wife of President William Henry Harrison. She served in the role for only one month, as her husband was afflicted with pneumonia and died shortly after his term began. She was also the paternal grandmother of President Benjamin Harrison. She never entered the White House during her tenure as first lady, remaining the only presidential wife to never visit the capital during her husband's presidency. At age 65 at the start of her husband's presidential term, Harrison was the oldest woman ever to assume the role of first lady, a record held until Jill Biden became first lady at age 69 in 2021. She also has the distinction of holding the title for the shortest length of time, and the first first lady to be widowed while holding the title. Tuthill Quarry
Tuthill Quarry is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the County Durham district of north-east County Durham, England. It lies just over 1 km east of the village of Haswell. The site occupies part of a disused quarry, in which have developed areas of primary and secondary magnesian limestone grassland. Such grassland is largely confined to County Durham and increasingly scarce even there. The grasslands at Tuthill Quarry are typical of the type, being characterised by the presence of blue moor-grass, ''Sesleria albicans'', and small scabious, ''Scabiosa columbaria'', but a number of less common species are also present, including common butterwort, '' Pinguicula vulgaris'', and adder's-tongue fern, ''Ophioglossum vulgatum''. __NOTOC__ Tothill is a hamlet in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated about south-east from Louth, and about north-west from Alford. Landmarks The manor of Tothill belonged to Lord Willoughby De Broke. The manor house is a Grade II listed building. It was built in the 17th century, with early-18th-century refronting, and some 19th-century alteration. Toot Hill is the remains of a medieval motte and bailey castle consisting of a large mound with double-ditched outer bailey. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The church of Saint Mary was built in the 18th century of brick on a stone base, with a chancel, but no bellcote. It had some 18th-century alterations and was demolished in 1980. Todt Hill
Todt Hill ( ) is a hill formed of serpentine rock on Staten Island, New York. It is the highest natural point in the five boroughs of New York City and the highest elevation on the entire Atlantic coastal plain from Florida to Cape Cod. The summit of the ridge is largely covered in woodlands as part of the Staten Island Greenbelt, although much of the surrounding area is developed and residential. It is considered one of the most exclusive and most expensive areas of Staten Island. History The name Todt comes from the German word "Tod" for "dead" and may refer to the cemetery (the present Moravian Cemetery, opened in 1740 and now the island's largest cemetery) on the southwestern foot of the ridge near the town of New Dorp that has been in use since colonial days.
