Tussle is an American four-piece band from San Francisco, United States, formed in 2001 by Nathan Burazer, Jonathan Holland, Alexis Georgopoulos and Andy Cabic. The band released its first album, ''Kling Klang'', in 2004 on Troubleman Unlimited. Their fourth album, '' Tempest'' was released in September 2012. Genjing Records (simplified Chinese: 根茎唱片; traditional Chinese: 根莖唱片) is a vinyl-only independent record label in Beijing, China focused on contributing recordings of Chinese musicians into global scene and vinyl record culture. Background Since its inception in March 2011, Genjing Records has issued dozens of 7-inch singles, 10-inch EPs, and LPs from bands such as AM444, Demerit, Dear Eloise, Duck Fight Goose, the Fever Machine, Gum Bleed, Round Eye, Snapline, Wang Wen (罔聞) and Fanzui Xiangfa. At its inception in 2011, the label was only conceived as a platform through which founder Nevin Domer's local Beijing hardcore band Fanzui Xiangfa (犯罪想法) could release and distribute their own recordings on vinyl records during a European tour with the German hardcore band SS20 . Alexis Georgopoulos (born 1974), who often records under the name Arp, is an American electronic musician, composer, and music producer based in New York. Biography Georgopoulos has pursued a diverse range of styles as a solo artistArp and as a collaborator (Alexis Georgopoulos & Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, The AlpsMasks and Tussle. Troubleman Unlimited Records was a record label specializing in indie rock and similar genres. Founded in 1993, the label was based in Bayonne, New Jersey and owned by Mike Simonetti. History The label started as an offshoot of a fanzine called "Wanna Communicate?", releasing 7" singles. The label grew significantly in the 2000s, releasing full-length albums by many groups who are regularly reviewed in media outlets like '' Spin'' and Pitchfork. DFA Records
DFA Records is an American independent record label founded in 2001 by Mo' Wax co-founder Tim Goldsworthy, musician James Murphy, and manager Jonathan Galkin. They previously had a production team called The DFA, consisting of Goldsworthy and Murphy. History James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy met while working in New York on the David Holmes album '' Let's Get Killed''. After the recording was completed, Goldsworthy stayed in New York, and the two began to throw parties in the Lower East Side. They created the production duo, The DFA, but wished to grow The DFA into more than what it was.
