Tusk Trust
Tusk Trust is a British non-profit organisation set up in 1990 to advance wildlife conservation across Africa. The charity funds the protection of African elephant, African rhinoceros and African lion, along with many other threatened species across Africa. Tusk’s mission is to amplify the impact of progressive conservation initiatives across Africa. Overview Tusk Trust was set up by Charles Mayhew MBE, who is the Chief Executive. In 2020, Alexander Rhodes succeeded The Hon Stephen Watson as Chairman of the Tusk Board, which is supported by the Tusk Development Board. Nicholas Peter Collingwood Maughan (born January 1980) is a British investor, philanthropist and conservationist. He is the founder of an ESG investment company Maughan Capital and the Nick Maughan Foundation, a self-funded charity working in education, environment, and civic support areas for disenfranchised communities. Lilongwe Wildlife Centre
The Lilongwe Wildlife Centre is a wildlife sanctuary in Lilongwe, Malawi. It was founded in 2007 by the Lilongwe Wildlife Trust (LWT), with support from the Born Free Foundation. The Centre is a member of the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance. Aims Lilongwe Wildlife Trust's mission is to "Protect Malawi’s wildlife by helping wild animals in need, combating wildlife crime and empowering the guardians of the wild." Prince Emmanuel de Merode (Emmanuel Werner Marie Ghislain de Merode; born 5 May 1970) is a conservationist and anthropologist. He has been the director of Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) since 2008. Family Merode was born in Carthage, Tunisia. He is the second son of Charles-Guillaume, Prince de Merode and Princess Hedwige Marie de Ligne-La Trémoïlle. His parents belong to two of Belgium's historically most ancient and influential families, the Houses of Merode and Ligne. Tomas Diagne
Tomas Diagne is a Senegalese biologist and activist, known for his efforts toward the conservation of turtles in Africa. He is the founder of the African Chelonian Institute, whose purpose is "to promote the long-term conservation of turtle, tortoise and terrapin populations across the African continent". Biography Diagne was born in a family that had military and civil experience, but little interest in wildlife; a love of animals helped make him a conservationist. In the late 1990s, he chaired the African chapter of the Turtle Survival Alliance. Honeyguides (family Indicatoridae) are near passerine birds in the order Piciformes. They are also known as indicator birds, or honey birds, although the latter term is also used more narrowly to refer to species of the genus ''Prodotiscus''. The Tsavo Trust is a non-profit wildlife conservation organisation, which covers Tsavo East National Park, Tsavo West National Park, and Chyulu Hills National Park in Kenya.
