Tushar Dutta
Pandit Tushar Dutta (Bengali: তুষার দত্ত, Urdu:تشار دتہ, Hindi: तुषार दत्त) is a Hindustani classical music vocalist. Early life Tushar was born in Natore, Bangladesh. He started learning the fundamentals of Indian classical music from Bimal Mitra of Durgapur at an early age. He joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 1983 and took Taalim under Arkut Kannabhirham and Arun Bhaduri in Kirana Gharana. He also took Taalim in Agra Gharana under K G Ginde and Sunil Bose and also from Subhra Guha. By blending the two musical styles Kirana and Agra Gharana he has made a unique style of his own. Career Tushar is a Top Grade vocalist in All India Radio and Doordarshan India. In 1998, He stood first in Khayal at All India University competition in Banaras. The Bengal Foundation ( bn, বেঙ্গল ফাউন্ডেশন) is a Bangladeshi non-profit and charitable organization headquartered in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. It is mostly known for organizing local and international events in the country. History Bengal Foundation was founded by Bangladeshi industrialist and entrepreneur Abul Khair Litu in 1986, as part of his endeavour to promote and showcase Bangladeshi art on a larger platform. K G Ginde
Krishna Gundopant Ginde, better known as K.G. Ginde (26 December 1925 – 13 July 1994) was an Indian classical singer and teacher. His guru S N Ratanjankar was his biggest influence. Biography Ginde, called "Chhotu" (small) by family members and close friends because he was the 8th among 9 children, was born on December 26, 1925, in Bailhongal, near Belgaum. When he was just 11 years old, he moved to Lucknow and started his music training under music scholar S N Ratanjankar. He moved to Mumbai in 1951 to take up a teaching post with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. In 1962 he became principal of Vallabh Sangeet Vidyalaya. On his sixtieth birthday, some of the biggest names in Hindustani music, including Bhimsen Joshi, Kumar Gandharva, and Purushottam Laxman Deshpande, graced the function. Jazz fusion (also known as fusion and progressive jazz) is a music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and jazz improvisation, improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. Electric guitars, amplifiers, and keyboards that were popular in rock and roll started to be used by jazz musicians, particularly those who had grown up listening to rock and roll. Khayal
Khyal or Khayal (ख़याल / خیال) is a major form of Hindustani classical music in the Indian subcontinent. Its name comes from a Persian/Arabic word meaning "imagination". Khyal is associated with romantic poetry, and allows the performer greater freedom of expression than dhrupad. In khyal, ragas are extensively ornamented, and the style calls for more technical virtuosity than intellectual rigour. Etymology (خیال) is an Urdu word of Arabic origin which means "imagination, thought, ideation, meditation, reflection". Hence khyal connotes the idea of a song that is imaginative and creative in either its nature or execution. The word entered India through the medium of the Persian language.
