Blayre Turnbull
Blayre Turnbull (born July 15, 1993) is a Canadian ice hockey player for the PWHPA. She made her debut with the Canada women's national ice hockey team at the 2014 4 Nations Cup. Career Turnbull attended Shattuck-St. Mary's, where she was a classmate of Nathan MacKinnon and played on the girls' hockey team. As a junior, she appeared in 52 contests while gaining 60 points (on 30 goals and 30 assists). With the team, won two national championships in two years. NCAA The 2011–12 Wisconsin Badgers season marked her first with the club. In a match versus the Lindenwood Lady Lions on September 25, 2011, she scored her first career NCAA goal. Doug Turnbull
Douglas Clayland Turnbull, Jr. (July 23, 1904 – April 12,1996) was an American lacrosse player. He was the first player, and remains one of only six, to have been named to the USILA All-America first team all four years of his college career. Turnbull played college lacrosse and football at Johns Hopkins University. In 1923, he led the nation in placekicking. He was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1962. Derek Philip Fraser Turnbull (5 December 1926 – 2 November 2006) was a New Zealand middle- and long-distance runner. He took up Masters athletics at the age of 40, and went on to set 25 Masters Athletics World Records. Early life Born in Waikaka, Southland, 28 km northeast of Gore, on 5 December 1926, Turnbull was educated at Southland Boys' High School. He went on to study at Massey Agricultural College, gaining a Diploma of Agriculture with honours. He became a farmer, and owned and farmed 105 hectares at Tussock Creek, 30 km north of Invercargill from about 1980. Colin Macmillan Turnbull (November 23, 1924 – July 28, 1994) was a British-American anthropologist who came to public attention with the popular books '' The Forest People'' (on the Mbuti Pygmies of Zaire) and '' The Mountain People'' (on the Ik people of Uganda), and one of the first anthropologists to work in the field of ethnomusicology.
