Tunç Başaran
Tunç Başaran (October 1, 1938 – December 18, 2019) was a Turkish screenwriter, film director, film producer and actor. Biography After attending the Faculty of Literature for a while he left school and started working as a script writer for the director Memduh Ün. He then continued to be the assistant of Memduh Ün for a long time. Meanwhile, he also worked as assistant for such directors as Ömer Lütfi Akad, Halit Refiğ, Atıf Yılmaz, Ertem Göreç. In 1964 he directed his first feature ''Survival''. By 1962, he had directed about 40 films. After 1972, he switched to commercials. He directed ''Don't Let Them Shoot The Kite'' in 1989. Tunç Erem (born 1938) is a Turkish academic in international marketing and international trade and strategic management. Erem was born in İstanbul in 1938. After finishing Robert College High School in İstanbul, he graduated from the college of Business Administration of Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois, U.S. in 1962 with a BS degree. He received his doctorate from the Istanbul Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences in 1968. Erem was awarded the title of associate professor in 1971, and in 1977 a full professorship at the Istanbul Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences. Erem's research interests include international marketing, strategic management and international trade. He has represented Turkey at various international conferences pertinent to these research interests, and is the author of numerous articles published in international or national journals or conference proceedings. Tunç Hamarat
Tunç Hamarat (born December 1, 1946) is a Turkish chess player living in Austria and the sixteenth ICCF World Champion, 1999–2004. Born in Istanbul, Hamarat attended the Austrian St. Georgs-Kolleg high school in Istanbul, and then graduated in Physics from the Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) in Ankara. In 1972, he moved to Vienna, Austria for his Master's degree in Physics Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology there. In 1976, he went temporarily back to İzmir, Turkey for military service. Since 1972 he has been living in Austria and has been an Austrian citizen since 1994. Recently, he is working for a telecommunication company in Vienna. During the sixteenth ICCF World Championship, he had amassed an unassailable 11 points out of 15 games with one game remaining. Tunch Ilkin
Tunch Ilkin (born Tunç Ali İlkin; September 23, 1957 – September 4, 2021) was a Turkish-born player of American football and sports broadcaster. A two-time Pro Bowl selection as an offensive tackle with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was the first Turk to play in the National Football League (NFL). He was voted to the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team. After his playing career, he was a television and radio analyst for the Steelers from 1998 to 2020. Ayfer Tunç (born 1964 in Adapazarı) is a contemporary Turkish writer. She graduated from the Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences. During her university years, she wrote many articles for various literature, culture and art magazines. In 1989, she participated in the Yunus Nadi Short Story Competition organized by the daily Cumhuriyet newspaper. Her short story titled Saklı (Hidden) received the first prize. Between 1999-2004, she worked as the chief editor of Yapı Kredi Publishing House. Her book titled Maniniz Yoksa Annemler Size Gelecek-70’li Yıllarda Hayatımız (My Parents Will Visit You If You Aren’t Occupied - Our Life in the '70s) was published in 2001 was met with great enthusiasm. Ohannes Tunçboyacı, better known as Onno Tunç (December 20, 1948 – January 14, 1996), was a leading Armenian-Turkish musician, working mainly as a composer, arranger and a music producer. Tunç also played bass guitar and occasionally double bass, contributing to the albums of several musicians. He was one of the prominent names of Turkish pop music in the 1980s and 1990s with his arrangements. He was the elder brother of musician Arto Tunçboyacıyan.
