Old Mill (ride)
An old mill is a type of amusement park ride with unaccompanied boats floated on guideways through dark tunnels. These themed dark rides originated in the late 19th century and are known by a variety of names, including tunnel of love and river cave. While generally considered a gentle ride, a variation that ends with a climactic splashdown, similar to the modern-day log flume, is known as a mill chute. Tunnel of love In its earliest incarnations, riders were taken by two-passenger boats through dark passages. There were two major themes: a relaxing romantic ride encouraging the couple to cuddle, or a spooky horror ride encouraging the couple to cling to one another. The darkness provided a degree of privacy and the frightening scenes offered a socially acceptable excuse for the physical contact at a time when public affection or even holding hands was considered inappropriate. With the development of other socially acceptable opportunities and less stigma for unmarried couples ...

Tunnel Of Love (album)
''Tunnel of Love'' is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, released on October 9, 1987. Although members of the E Street Band occasionally performed on the album, Springsteen recorded most of the parts himself, often with drum machines and synthesizers. While the album's liner notes list the E Street Band members under that name, Shore Fire Media, Springsteen's public relations firm, does not count it as an E Street Band album and 2002's ''The Rising (album), The Rising'' was advertised as his first studio album with the E Street Band since ''Born in the USA''. The album won Grammy Award for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance, Best Rock Vocal Performance, Solo at the 30th Grammy Awards, 1988 Grammy Awards. Tunnel Of Love (EP)
''Tunnel of Love'' is the fourth EP by American hip hop group Insane Clown Posse, released on April 19, 1996, by Psychopathic Records. It is the third and final "sideshow" entry in the group's Dark Carnival saga. Background Unsatisfied with their contract with Jive Records, Insane Clown Posse's manager, Alex Abbiss, set up a deal which would sign the group with Hollywood Records. After their Jive contract expired, ICP had two days on their own before officially being signed to Hollywood, so they decided to record and release an EP independently on Psychopathic Records. The EP consisted of "love songs" performed in the duo's trademark style. Like The Terror Wheel, there is a hidden track at the end which contains a phone number, which could be called to reveal the name of the next Joker's Card, ''The Great Milenko''. Release and reception To promote the EP, Psychopathic sent out a pink ''Tunnel of Love'' van with flowers on it. However, this promotional tactic pro ...

Tunnel Of Love Express Tour
The Tunnel of Love Express was a concert tour by Bruce Springsteen and featuring The E Street Band along with The Horns of Love that took place in 1988. It was followed by a four and a half months of the release of Springsteen's October 1987 album, '' Tunnel of Love''. Considerably shorter in duration than most Springsteen tours before or since, it played limited engagements in most cities, leading to the tickets being in great demand. Shows were held in arenas in the U.S. and stadiums in Europe and included a historic performance in East Berlin. Coming on the heels of the massively successful ''Born in the U.S.A. Tour'', the Tunnel of Love Express was designed to disorient Springsteen's audiences. A theatrical entrance began the show, a full horn section appeared, band members were rearranged from their customary positions, and on-stage spontaneity was kept to a minimum. Set lists were unusually static, and many of Springsteen's most popular concert numbers were omitted ...

The Tunnel Of Love (novel)
''The Tunnel of Love'' is a novel by American author Peter De Vries; it was published on May 12, 1954, by Little, Brown and Company. The novel is written in first-person narration from the viewpoint of a magazine art editor. He tells the story of his neighbors in fictional Avalon, Connecticut, a cartoonist named Augie Poole and his wife Isolde, and their efforts to adopt a child, using the narrator and his wife Audrey as references. However, the majority of interactions and dialogue concern the narrator, often as internal musings, and entire chapters go by without a mention of Augie or Isolde. The story spans roughly three years in the life of these two couples, including a look ahead prologue at the beginning. The novel was constructed adapting five short stories published several years earlier in ''The New Yorker''. These formed the basis for chapters 6, 11, 13, 15, and 17 in the 1st edition. The novel was a sleeper hit, gradually building up readership over the summer of 1954 ...
