Tun Tun Naung
Tun Tun Naung ( my, ထွန်းထွန်းနောင်; born 30 April 1963) is a Burmese military officer and incumbent Minister of Border Affairs of Myanmar. Tun Tun Naung is a career soldier, and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant General. Since he is a Union Minister of Border Affairs, he is also a member of the Union Government and National Defence and Security Council. Career Tun Tun Naung was born in 1963 and graduated from the 25th intake of Defence Service Academy. His colleagues from 25th intake are General Mya Tun Oo, member of SAC and Lieutenant-General Aung Lin Dwe, Secretary of SAC. Defence Services Academy
The Defence Services Academy ( my, စစ်တက္ကသိုလ်, ) located in Pyin Oo Lwin, is the premier military service academy of Myanmar, training future officers for all three branches of Myanmar military. The Ministry of Defence administered academy offers bachelor's degree programs in liberal arts, combined physical sciences, and computer science. DSA has conferred basic degrees on 33,065 graduates from the first graduation ceremony up to the 62nd graduation in December 2021. The DSA graduates are commissioned in one of the three branches of Myanmar military. Tatmadaw
Tatmadaw (, , ) is the official name of the armed forces of Myanmar (formerly Burma). It is administered by the Ministry of Defence and composed of the Myanmar Army, the Myanmar Navy and the Myanmar Air Force. Auxiliary services include the Myanmar Police Force, the Border Guard Forces, the Myanmar Coast Guard, and the People's Militia Units. National Defence And Security Council
The National Defence and Security Council ( my, အမျိုးသား ကာကွယ်ရေးနှင့် လုံခြုံရေး ကောင်စီ, ; abbreviated NDSC) is an eleven-member national security council responsible for security and defence affairs in Myanmar. Though the president is the chief executive of the government of Myanmar, the 2008 Constitution reserves certain important executive powers for the NDSC and certain actions of the president require approval by the NDSC. The council is typically controlled by Tatmadaw members. NDSC was formed on 31 March 2011. Of the 11 members, the Commander-in-chief appointed 5 members and controls 6 votes. Lieutenant-General Aung Lin Dwe ( my, အောင်လင်းဒွေး; born 31 May 1962) is a Burmese military officer who is currently serving as the secretary of Myanmar's State Administration Council. He was appointed on 2 February 2021, in the aftermath of the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état. 2021 Myanmar Coup D'état
A coup d'état in Myanmar began on the morning of 1 February 2021, when democratically elected members of the country's ruling party, the National League for Democracy (NLD), were deposed by the Tatmadaw—Myanmar's military—which then vested power in a military junta.
