The Tumen River, also known as the Tuman River or Duman River (), is a long river that serves as part of the boundary between China, North Korea and Russia, rising on the slopes of Mount Paektu and flowing into the Sea of Japan. The river has a drainage basin of 33,800 km2 (13,050 sq mi). The river flows in northeast Asia, on the border between China and North Korea in its upper reaches, and between North Korea and Russia in its last before entering the Sea of Japan. Tuman Monastery
The Tuman Monastery ( sr, Манастир Туман, Manastir Tuman) is a 14th-century Orthodox monastery in eastern Serbia, in the municipality of Golubac. It belongs to the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Braničevo. It is also referred to as the Tumane Monastery. The church is dedicated to the Saint Archangel Gabriel. As of 2018, the monastery has six monks and one nun, which makes it the largest one in the Braničevo District. Because of the several historical healers who dwelled in the monastery, Tuman has been called " Ostrog of the Đerdap". Tuman Tumyan ( hy, Թուման Թումյան; 1879–1906) was an active participant of the Armenian national liberation movement. Tuman Tumyan was born in 1879 in Shusha, Russian Empire and had his local education there; one of his classmates was famed revolutionary Garegin Nzhdeh. Tumanian became known throughout Karabakh when he began publishing the ''Kokon'' newspaper in Shushi. He was instrumental in the engagement of gathering volunteer troops in Western Armenia. Tumanian died in action in 1906. The Iranian toman ( fa, تومان, tūmân, pronounced ; from Mongolian ''tümen'' "unit of ten thousand", see the unit called tumen) is a superunit of the official currency of Iran, the rial. One toman is equivalent to 10,000 rials. Although the rial is the official currency, Iranians use the toman in everyday life. Originally, the toman consisted of 10,000 dinars. Between 1798 and 1825, the toman was also subdivided into eight rials, each of 1,250 dinars. In 1825, the qiran was introduced, worth 1,000 dinars or one-tenth of a toman. In 1932, the rial replaced the qiran at par, with one toman being equal to 10 rial.
