Tullow RFC
Tullow RFC is an Irish Rugby team based in Tullow, Leinster, playing in Division 1B of the Leinster League. History The club was founded in 1928, but closed after around 30 years. It was re-established in 1971. The first president in the club was Larry Kenny. Some of the same families involved in 1928 are still actively involved. Facilities The club house, which extends to 4,500 sq. ft. includes bar facilities, a large ballroom, kitchen facilities, 4 large changing rooms with showers, physiotherapy room, weights gym, 2 full sized playing fields and training areas. The pitches and training area have state of the art floodlights as well as two dugouts and a supporters stand on the main field. The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) ( ga, Cumann Rugbaí na hÉireann) is the body managing rugby union in the island of Ireland (both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). Leinster Rugby
Leinster Rugby ( ga, Rugbaí Laighean) is one of the four professional provincial rugby union teams from the island of Ireland and the most successful Irish team domestically. They compete in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. Leinster play their home games primarily at the RDS Arena, although larger games are played in the Aviva Stadium when the capacity of the RDS is insufficient. Before moving to the RDS in 2005, Leinster's traditional home ground was Donnybrook Stadium, in Dublin 4. Tullow (; , formerly ''Tulach Ó bhFéidhlim/ Tullowphelim'') is a market town in County Carlow, Ireland. It is located on the River Slaney where the N81 road intersects with the R725. , the population was 4,673. Hooker (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. Bernard Jackman
Bernard Jackman (born 5 May 1976) is an Irish former rugby union player who played for Connacht, Leinster and Sale Sharks. At international level, he has also played for Ireland. He released his autobiography, ''Blue Blood'' in 2011. He was dismissed as the head coach of Welsh Pro14 side the Dragons in December 2018. Jackman is the current head coach of Bective Rangers FC. Leinster League Division Two is the second division of Rugby in the Leinster League and started in the 1994/95 season. Coolmine RFC
Coolmine Rugby Football club is a rugby union club located at Ashbrook, near the suburbs of Castleknock and Blanchardstown in west County Dublin, Ireland, playing in Division 2A of the Leinster League. The club was established in 1980. Coolmine RFC has junior club status in Leinster. History Coolmine RFC was founded on 26 November 1980 in Coolmine, close to the growing suburbs of Blanchardstown and Castleknock by Mr. Eugene Cadogan and Dr Bill Linehan. The club originally played matches on pitches rented from the local council and used Coolmine Sports Complex as its main facility. The first mini rugby at Coolmine was played in 1981.
