Tullio Altamura
Tullio Altamura (born 18 July 1924) is an Italian actor, best known for his roles in spaghetti westerns and action films in the 1960s. Life and career Born in Bologna, the son of a career officer in the Italian army, Altamura grew up in Rome, where he studied at the liceo classico. After having worked for some time as a freelance journalist, he started his professional acting career in the first half of 1950s. Starting from the 1960s he specialized in villain roles in genre films, in which he often adopted the stage name Tor Altmayer. Active on television from 1957 and on stage from 1961, he was also a television writer and documentarist. Giorgio Simonelli (14 November 1901 Birth name: Giorgio Simonelli. – 3 October 1966), was an Italian film director, editor, screenwriter and journalist. Life and career Born in Rome, Simonelli obtained a high school diploma in business studies, then he started working as a journalist, and even as a film critic, for the weekly magazines ''Avvenimento'' and ''Gente nostra''. In 1928, at 22, he made his directorial debut co-directing with Nicola Fausto Neroni ''Maratona'' and two years later he was among the screenwriters of the first Italian talking film, ''The Song of Love (1930 film), The Song of Love'' by Gennaro Righelli. Bruno Corbucci
Bruno Corbucci (23 October 1931 – 7 September 1996) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. He was the younger brother of Sergio Corbucci, and wrote many of his films. He was born in Rome, where he also died. The vast majority of his directorial efforts are lowbrow comedies. He also directed ''I figli del leopardo'', a parody of ''Il gattopardo''. His biggest success came with the long-running "Nico Giraldi" series, which starred Tomas Milian as a foul-mouthed Roman policeman. His 1971 film '' Io non spezzo... rompo'' was shown as part of a retrospective on Italian comedy at the 67th Venice International Film Festival. Gianfranco Baldanello (born 13 November 1928) is an Italian film director, screenwriter and second unit director. He sometimes used the alias Frank G. Carroll. Baldanello is the son of actors Emilio Baldanello and Vanda Vianello (also known as Vanda Baldanello). In 1965 Baldanello directed his first film, '' 30 Winchester per El Diablo'' (also known as ''Gold Train''), a western for which he also wrote the screenplay. Piero Pierotti
Piero Pierotti (1 January 1912 – 4 May 1970) was an Italian director, screenwriter and journalist. Life and career Born in Pisa, Pierotti started his career as a journalist, working for ''La Nazione'' and ''Il Nuovo Corriere'', and later founding the newspaper ''Corriere dell'Arno''. After some amateur shorts, he moved to Rome where he enrolled in the courses of directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, graduating in 1939. Pierotti later started teaching direction at the University of Pisa, and at the same time he was also active as a documentarist and an assistant director, often collaborating with Raffaello Matarazzo. Giorgio Ferroni
Giorgio Ferroni (12 April 1908 – 1981) was an Italian film director. Life and career Giorgio Ferroni was born in Perugia on 12 April 1908. Ferroni began his career in film with short documentaries during World War II. He directed his first dramatic film ''The Thrill of the Skies'' in 1939. At the time of filming ''The Night of the Devils'', Ferroni was almost completely deaf and had to direct the film with the help of a hearing aid. Following the release of the film, a new project titled ''E i mostri uscirono dalle loro tane'' (). Ferroni only helmed one more film with the comedy ''Antonio e Placido: attenti ragazzi...chi rompe paga'' which he is credited as Calvin Jackson Padget, a name he used for directing Western (genre), Westerns in the 1960s.
