Palle Kjærulff-Schmidt
Palle Kjærulff-Schmidt (7 July 1931 – 14 March 2018) was a Danish film director and screenwriter. He has directed 32 films between 1957 and 1995. His 1964 film ''To (film), To'' was entered into the 15th Berlin International Film Festival. Two years later, his 1967 film ''Story of Barbara'' was entered into the 17th Berlin International Film Festival. In 1965 he co-produced the film ''4x4 (1965 film), 4x4'' and it was entered into the 4th Moscow International Film Festival. Kjærulff-Schmidt died on 14 March 2018 after a short illness at the age of 86. Klaus Rifbjerg
Klaus Rifbjerg (15 December 1931 – 4 April 2015) was a Danish writer. He authored more than 170 novels, books and essays. In 1965 he co-produced the film '' 4x4'' which was entered into the 4th Moscow International Film Festival. Biography Rifbjerg was born in Copenhagen and grew up on the island of Amager, which is part of the city, the child of two teachers. Later he studied English and literature, in Copenhagen and for a year in the US at Princeton University. His breakthrough was in 1958 with the novel ''Den kroniske Uskyld''. It was made into a film in 1985, directed by Edward Fleming. From that time on he published more than 100 novels as well as poetry and short story collections, plays, TV and radio plays, film scripts, children's books and diaries. Rifbjerg is also known for having been a journalist and critic. The 57th Academy Awards were presented March 25, 1985, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Los Angeles. Jack Lemmon presided over the ceremonies. ''Naja'' is a genus of venomous elapid snakes commonly known as cobras (or "true cobras"). Members of the genus ''Naja'' are the most widespread and the most widely recognized as "true" cobras. Various species occur in regions throughout Africa, Southwest Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Several other elapid species are also called "cobras", such as the king cobra (''Ophiophagus hannah'') and the rinkhals (''Hemachatus haemachatus''), but neither are true cobras, in that they do not belong to the genus ''Naja'', but instead each belong to monotypic genera ''Hemachatus'' (the rinkhals) and ''Ophiophagus'' (the king cobra/hamadryad). Rasmus Lyberth
Rasmus Ole Lyberth (born 21 August 1951) is a Greenlandic musician and actor. Since 1970, he has been one of the most popular artists in the Greenlandic music scene. His music is well known beyond the borders of Greenland. Biography Rasmus Lyberth was born in Maniitsoq, but grew up in Nuuk, where as a 12-year-old he began performing and playing the guitar. He is the son of a teacher and writer Erik Lyberth and Emma Lyberth. In 1969 he began performing in Copenhagen. In 1974 he recorded his first album, ''Erningaa''. ''Erningaa'' was successful and was followed by his second album, ''Piumassuseq nukiuvoq'', at which point he went on hiatus. This is a list of submissions to the 57th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole. Countries are invited by the Academy to submit their best films for competition according to strict rules, with only one film being accepted from each country. For the 57th Academy Awards, thirty-two films were submitted in the category Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Thailand submitted a film for the first time.
