Oliver Mtukudzi
Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi (22 September 1952 – 23 January 2019) was a Zimbabwean musician, businessman, philanthropist, human rights activist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Southern Africa Region. Career Mtukudzi grew up in Highfield, a poor neighborhood in Salisbury (modern-day Harare) in Southern Rhodesia. He began performing in 1977 when he joined the Wagon Wheels, a band that also featured Thomas Mapfumo and fellow guitarist James Chimombe. They were given the rare opportunity by Paul Tangi Mhova Mkondo, an African nationalist and music promotor, who provided money and resources to the group. He allowed them to perform at Club Mutanga (Pungwe) which, at the time, was the only night club available for blacks under Rhodesia's policy of segregation. Their single ''Dzandimomotera'' went gold and Tuku's first album followed, which was also a major success. Mtukudzi was also a contributor to Mahube, Southern Africa's "supergroup". Shamsul Hoque Tuku
Shamsul Hoque Tuku (born 31 May 1948) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and incumbent Deputy speaker of Jatiya Sangsad. He is the former State Minister of the Government of Bangladesh for Ministry of Home Affairs in the second Sheikh Hasina led Awami League government. Tuku was elected to Parliament from Pabna-1 in 2008, 2014 and 2018. Biography Tuku was born on 31 May 1948. He has master's degrees in communication, arts, and law. He is a lawyer. Tuku was elected to Parliament for the first time in the ninth Bangladesh parliamentary election, in 2008, representing constituency Pabna-1. In July 2009, he was appointed as a State Minister for the Home Ministry by the cabinet council of the Bangladesh Government. Tukoroirangi "Tuku" Morgan (born 7 October 1957) is a New Zealand Māori politician and former broadcaster. Early life and family Born in Auckland on 7 October 1957, Morgan affiliates to the Tainui iwi confederation. He was educated at St Stephen's School, Bombay from 1970 to 1971, and Huntly College from 1971 to 1976. He then gained a Diploma of Teaching, and taught English and Māori studies at Huntly College from 1980 to 1982, and Birkdale College (1982). His brother-in-law is Tau Henare. Tuku Nature Reserve
The Tuku Nature Reserve is a nature reserve on Chatham Island, New Zealand, in the Tuku-a-tamatea (Tuku) River Valley in the south-west of the island. The 1238 hectares of land, largely covered with dense native forest, are owned by the New Zealand government and is managed by its Department of Conservation. Before Crown ownership, the land was owned by Manuel and Evelyn Tuanui. The Tuanuis assisted ornithologist David Crockett in discovering the magenta petrel (''Pterodroma magentae''), or Chatham Island tāiko, on the land in 1978. This small burrow-nesting seabird had been considered extinct for over 100 years, and remains critically endangered. The Tuanuis donated the land that now forms the Reserve in 1983 for the conservation management of the tāiko, with adjacent land covenanted for the same purpose.
