Tudor Sports Ground is a public park between Clifford Road and the East Coast Main Railway Line in New Barnet in the London Borough of Barnet. It is one of Barnet's 'Premier Parks'. The park is a large grassed area with scattered mature trees. The site is mainly devoted to a nine-hole 'pitch and pay' golf course, and it also has a cricket pitch, a tennis court, a basketball shooting area, children's playgrounds and a car park. The East Coast Main Line (ECML) is a electrified railway between London and Edinburgh via Peterborough, Doncaster, York, Darlington, Durham and Newcastle. New Barnet is a neighbourhood on the north east side of the London Borough of Barnet. It is a largely residential North London suburb located east of Chipping Barnet, west of Cockfosters, south of the village of Monken Hadley and north of Oakleigh Park. Residential properties include a mix of late Victorian villas and terraces, Edwardian detached housing, 1950-60s council housing and the redevelopment of land to low storey flats in the 1980s and 1990s. Monken Hadley Common lies within the Monken Hadley Conservation Area, and is listed as a “ Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade I,” by the London Borough of Barnet. It is registered common land, and it is owned by the Trustees of Monken Hadley Common. Area The common is a large area of about between Monken Hadley and Cockfosters; it is long and wedge shaped, wide at the Monken Hadley end and tapering to a point at the Cockfosters end. New Barnet railway station is in the London Borough of Barnet in north London, England. It is down the line from , in Travelcard Zone 5. The station is managed and served by Great Northern. Oyster card pay-as-you-go can now be used to and from this station as well as on the majority of National Rail services in Greater London. History The main line of the Great Northern Railway (GNR) between and London () was opened on 7 August 1850; and ''Barnet'' was one of the original stations on the line.
