Tubifera Corymbosa-1
''Tubifera'' is a genus of slime moulds from the subclass Myxogastria. The genus comprises 12 species. Description The fruit-bodies are aethalia formed from numerous, usually densely packed sporangia. The oblong sporangia are ochre, pink or red to dark brown and may be shiny or shimmering. They open at the tip to release the spores. The hypothallus is spongy, occasionally raised to a stem-like, stock, dark-coloured structure or also, on ''Tubifera bombarda'', soft and film-like thin. The membranous, single layered peridium outlasts the below half. A pseudocapillitium may or may not be present. The spores are light yellow to reddish-brown. Habitat ''Tubifera ferruginosa'' and ''Tubifera microsperma'' are more widespread and common than the other species from this genus. All species, except ''Tubifera casparyii'', are also common in the tropics. Classification The genus was circumscribed in 1873 by Józef Thomasz Rostafiński. The type species is ''Tubifera ferruginosa'', f ...

Tubifera Ferruginosa
''Tubifera ferruginosa'', more commonly known as ''raspberry slime mold'' or ''red raspberry slime mold'', is a species of slime mold in the class (biology), class Myxogastria. It is one of the most widely known and distinct slime molds, being found throughout Temperate climate, temperate regions of the world, primarily in Europe and North America. Description ''T. ferruginosa'' is often found growing on damp rotten wood in temperate forests. It forms small, cushion-like "pseudoaethalia", or fruiting bodies from June to November that are bright red when young, and purple-brown when mature. These "pseudoaethalia" are different from the aethelia of other slime molds like Fuligo septica, because they are made of tightly bunched, gelatinous rods, or Sporangium, sporangia. Each individual sporangium is approximately 0.5 mm wide and 3 to 5 cm tall, while the width of the pseudoaethalia can reach 15 cm. The pseudoaethalia is anchored to a surface by the hypothallus, a ...

Circumscription (taxonomy)
In biological taxonomy, circumscription is the content of a taxon, that is, the delimitation of which subordinate taxa are parts of that taxon. If we determine that species X, Y, and Z belong in Genus A, and species T, U, V, and W belong in Genus B, those are our circumscriptions of those two genera. Another systematist might determine that T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z all belong in genus A. Agreement on circumscriptions is not governed by the Codes of Zoological or Botanical Nomenclature, and must be reached by scientific consensus. A goal of biological taxonomy is to achieve a stable circumscription for every taxon. This goal conflicts, at times, with the goal of achieving a natural classification that reflects the evolutionary history of divergence of groups of organisms. Balancing these two goals is a work in progress, and the circumscriptions of many taxa that had been regarded as stable for decades are in upheaval in the light of rapid developments in molecular phylogenetics ...

Tubifera Dudkae
''Tubifera dudkae'' is a species of slime mold in the class Myxogastria. Unlike its relatives, ''T. dudkae'' does not form pseudoaethelia with distinct sporangia, or at least the sporangia are not visibly distinct or rod-shaped like other members of Tubifera. They are found growing on damp, dead wood in temperate forests, including where it was first documented in Ukraine. '' T. dudkae'' is found in mixed and coniferous forests across Europe and Asia Asia (, ) is one of the world's most notable geographical regions, which is either considered a continent in its own right or a subcontinent of Eurasia, which shares the continental landmass of Afro-Eurasia with Africa.
