Tuas Bus Terminal
Tuas Bus Terminal (Chinese: 大士巴士终站) is a bus terminal located in Tuas in the western part of Singapore. This terminal serves industrial workers at Jurong Industrial Estate and Tuas Industrial Estate from Boon Lay Bus Interchange. The terminal was relocated to a new site above the Tuas Depot on 7 October 2017. The terminal is connected to the Tuas Link MRT station, allowing for convenient transfers. On 18 June 2017, 2 new services, Bus Services 247 and 248, were introduced in conjunction with the Tuas West MRT Extension opening. On 7 October 2017, all 4 services were relocated to the new site. Tuas Link MRT Station
Tuas Link MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station in western Singapore. Located in Tuas along Tuas West Drive, it is located close to Tuas Depot and Tuas Checkpoint. The station is the terminus of the East West line (EWL) and the westernmost station in Singapore. First announced in 2011 as part of the Tuas West Extension (TWE), the station began operations on 18 June 2017. The station is operated by SMRT Trains. A bus terminus is a designated place where a bus or coach starts or ends its scheduled route. The terminus is the designated place that a timetable is timed from. Tuas
Tuas is a planning area located within the West Region of Singapore. It is bounded by the Western Water Catchment to its north, Pioneer to its east and the Straits of Johor to its west. Tuas also shares a maritime boundary with the Western Islands planning area to its east. The Malaysia–Singapore Second Link that links Singapore to Malaysia is located in Tuas. Etymology The name Tuas is derived from a fishing method previously used by coastal Malays. Shade was created by using coconut fronds as a shelter with a net spread underneath the shade in the water. Boon Lay Bus Interchange is an air-conditioned bus interchange located in Jurong West Central, in the western part of Singapore. It is situated within Jurong Point and integrated with the nearby Boon Lay MRT station. This interchange serves a variety of passengers, including those from Nanyang Technological University, Jurong Industrial Estate and Tuas Industrial Estate. Tuas Depot
Tuas Depot is an MRT depot serving the East West Line, located between Tuas West Road and Tuas West Drive in Singapore. It was constructed by Jurong Primewide Pte Ltd at a contract sum of S$237.1 million. Construction of the depot together with the four stations of the Tuas West Extension started in late 2011 and were fully operational on 18 June 2017.
