Kyoto Seika University
is a private university in Iwakura, Kyoto, Japan. The school's predecessor was founded in 1968, and it was chartered as a university in 1979. The school is noted for its faculties of manga and anime, and being involved in the teaching and training of future manga artists. The dean of the manga faculty is Keiko Takemiya, and noted American anthropologist and translator Rachel Matt Thorn is also an associate professor at the school's faculty of manga. Graduates of the university have forged successful careers in the manga, anime, and media industries. In 2006, Kyoto Seika University and the city of Kyoto established the Kyoto International Manga Museum. is a 1983 Japanese animated film directed by Tsuneo Maeda and produced by Kazuo Kambe and Iwao Takagi. and animated by Iruka Office. Tama And Friends
is a character franchise created by Sony Creative Products in 1983. An OVA series based on the products titled was produced by Sony Music Entertainment Japan and animated by Group TAC. The episodes were released between 1988 and 1990. All episodes, except the first, had two episodes put on a single cassette. The OVAs (except the first) aired on MBS and TBS under the name from July 3, 1993 to August 28, 1993. An anime movie, titled , was released in the same year. An additional 29 episodes were created and broadcast in 1994 on the same networks under the same name. The original series was licensed by 4Kids Entertainment in 2000 and dubbed into English. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ryōhei Saigan. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's ''seinen'' manga ''Big Comic Original'' since 1974, with its chapters collected in 69 ''tankōbon'' volumes as of May 2022.
