is a popular Japanese folk song written by and composed by . General The song was composed for the that took place in Shima, Mie in 1970. The song appeared on the popular single record released by the folk group on February 5, 1971, becoming nationally known. In September 1973, Sumiko Yamagata released a reprise of the song in the album . Shoji Hashimoto, the editor of the publishing house Kyouiku Geijutsu-sha, decided to include the song in a choir textbook, causing it to be sung by choirs across Japan. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Keiichi Arawi. is a Japanese singer and actress. She was born as Akiko Yasuda ( in Kiryū, Gunma, Japan and raised in Yokohama. She started her singing career with her older sister Sachiko as a child singer. Shūichi Murakami
(January 1, 1951 – March 9, 2021) was a Japanese jazz drummer and session musician. Career Murakami was born in Nishinomiya. He first learned to play French horn, but switched to classical percussion as a teenager before settling on the drum kit. He worked extensively as a sideman on jazz sessions in the 1970s and 1980s, with, among others, Sadao Watanabe, Yosuke Yamashita, Kazumi Watanabe, Akira Sakata, and Takashi Kako. He founded the group Ponta Box (featuring sidemen Masahiro Sayama and Masatoshi Mizuno), which recorded three albums for JVC Victor and appeared at the 1995 Montreux Jazz Festival, and has recorded several albums under his own name. He also worked as a session musician for J-pop stars for several decades. Murakami died on March 9, 2021 after suffering thalamic bleeding at the age of 70. is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1997. The classic line up of Tatsuro on vocals, Miya on guitar, Yukke on bass, and Satochi on drums was solidified in 1999 following the departure of original bassist Hiro. After 24 years, Satochi retired from the music business in October 2021, leaving Mucc a trio. They have released 16 studio albums, with 2020's '' Aku'' being their highest-charting.
