Trygve Henrik Hoff
Trygve Henrik Hoff (7 July 1938 – 2 December 1987), born in Rognan, Nordland, was a Norwegian singer, composer, songwriter, and writer. He was a teacher at Buskerud folkehøgskole (Heimtun) for many years when he lived in Darbu, Øvre Eiker. For some time, Trygve Hoff was the conductor of Berlevåg Mannsangforening. Hoff was born and raised in Rognan, Nordland. His work as a writer and artist showed an appreciation of his roots, and he found inspiration for his texts from his home in Northern Norway. Hoff was awarded the Nordland fylkes kulturpris (Nordland County Culture award) posthumously in 1988. The newspaper ''Nordlys'' and the television channel NRK named Hoff's ''Snart gryr en dag'' as the best North Norwegian compilation albums of all time. Rognan
Rognan is a village and the administrative centre of the municipality of Saltdal in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located at the innermost part of Skjerstad Fjord, called Saltdal Fjord. It is located about north of the village of Røkland. Local activity Local industry includes the optical cable factory of Nexans Norway and Hepro. Lasse Holm
Lars-Eric Gustav "Lasse" Holm (born 9 December 1943) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and television host. Holm has also hosted and appeared in several television shows. As singer Since childhood, he was interested in music and was a member of a lot of pop music and rock music groups in the 1960s: ''Doug and the Millsmen'', ''The Spacemen'' and ''The Moonlighters''. Kristin Mellem (born 21 March 1965) is a Norwegian musician (violin), composer and conductor known for her involvement in Northern Norway's musical scene. She was educated at and Bergen Music Conservatory (1984–1990) and has worked as a violin teacher in Balsfjord, Bergen, Hadsel, and Tromsø. Furthermore, she has been named regional musician and conductor of the Vesterålen Symphony Orchestra, part of the (1987–1997), Tromsø Symphony Orchestra (1993–present), associated with Hålogaland Teater (, 2002) and Rikskonsertene (1997–2000). Fiskum Church
Fiskum is a parish in the municipality Øvre Eiker in Buskerud, Norway. The parish name comes from the farm Fiskum. In the 17th century, Fiskum Manor (''Fiskum gård'') was a nobleman's estate. Among the owners were Governor-general Jens Hermansson Juel, Admiral Ove Gjedde and Governor-general Hannibal Sehested. The village of Darbu is the principal settlement in the parish. This is the site of Darbu Station as well as the local post office. There are two churches in Fiskum parish. Fiskum Old Church (''Fiskum gamle kirke'') was built in the 13th century in the village of Darbu. The medieval church was constructed in a rectangular shape, with a short, rectangular nave and lower and narrower, straight closed choir. The edifice is of brick and has 150 seats. The church has a gable roof, and the roof ridge, in the middle of the nave sits a turret. The church went out of active service in 1866 when it was replaced by a new church. Nordland
