Trygg mammamedisin ('Safe Mommy Medicine') is a public service in Norway which gives individual advice about medical drugs to pregnant and breastfeeding women. The service is web-based, and is funded by the Ministry of Health and Care Services. Trygg mammamedisin is managed by RELIS - Regional Drug Information Centres. These centres are a publicly funded service for health professionals, offering producer-independent information about medical drugs. Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding, or nursing, is the process by which human breast milk is fed to a child. Breast milk may be from the breast, or may be expressed by hand or pumped and fed to the infant. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that breastfeeding begin within the first hour of a baby's life and continue as often and as much as the baby wants. Regional Medicines Information Centres (RELIS) ( no, Regionale legemiddelinformasjonssentre) is a publicly funded information service about medical drugs for health professionals in Norway.
