Truth Vs Hype
Truth vs Hype is an Indian weekly current affairs programme produced by Ambika Varma and presented by Sreenivasan Jain in the English news channel New Delhi Television 24x7 (NDTV 24x7). In most episodes, Jain travels to various parts of India to discuss a major news story of the week, with help of additional inputs from New Delhi Television correspondents. The program, launched in September 2011, was praised for breaking away from the stereotypical Indian format of "talking-heads" discussion on prime time news television. Jain won the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award for "Journalist of the Year (2012)" for ''Truth vs Hype''. Current affairs is a genre of broadcast journalism in which major news stories are discussed at length in a timely manner. This differs from regular news broadcasts that place emphasis on news reports presented for simple presentation as soon as possible, often with a minimum of analysis. Prime Time
Prime time or the peak time is the block of broadcast programming taking place during the middle of the evening for a television show. It is mostly targeted towards adults (and sometimes families). It is used by the major television networks to broadcast their season's nightly programming. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group.
