Trumaine McBride
Trumaine McBride (born September 24, 1985) is a former American football cornerback. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He also played for the Arizona Cardinals, and New Orleans Saints. He played college football at Mississippi. Early years McBride attended Clarksdale High School in Clarksdale, Mississippi and was a student and letterman in football. In football, he was selected All-America and to the Top 300 list by PrepStar magazine. Professional career Chicago Bears The Chicago Bears selected McBride in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He served as one of the team's reserve cornerbacks, behind Nathan Vasher and Charles Tillman, who had both been signed to multi-year contracts over the summer. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. The cornerback position requires speed, agility, strength, and the ability to make rapid sharp turns. Nathan Vasher
Nathaniel DeWayne Vasher (born November 17, 1981) is a former American football cornerback who played seven seasons in the National Football League. He played college football at Texas and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the San Diego Chargers and Detroit Lions. Early years An all-state selection at both cornerback and wide receiver at Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas, Vasher was recruited by the University of Texas at Austin. He started at strong safety for the Longhorns in 2001 and at cornerback in 2002 and 2003. He intercepted 17 passes in his college career, tying the school record. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB).
