''Truelove'' was a merchant ship, which served in the 18th and 19th centuries. The vessel was constructed in America in 1764, but was captured by the British in the American War of Independence, and operated as both a whaler and a general cargo ship until 1888, when she was broken up. Description ''Truelove'' was a full-rigged ship, with three masts and square rig. She was constructed with a "tumble home" design, with her hull sides (topsides) sloping inwards to the upper decks from the water line. Her topsides were constructed with planks overlapping in such a way as to allow water to drain freely from the upper decks. The ship's usual maximum speed was . While operating as a merchant ship, she was fitted with twelve guns for defence against French attack. The Truelove is commemorated with a sculpture in Hull by Stefan Gec. Ayala Truelove (''née'' Liran, he, איילה לירן; born 16 August 1975) is an Israeli international football striker. She has also represented Great Britain in the sport of gliding. Edward Truelove (29 October 1809 – 21 April 1899) was an English radical publisher and Freethought, freethinker. Life A long-term Owenite, Truelove spent time from 1844 to 1845 at the Queenwood College, Queenwood community in Hampshire. He went to New Harmony, Indiana for a year, returning to London in 1846. He then acted as secretary of the John Street Institution, a Chartism, Chartist base in London, for nine years. In 1871 he was secretary of the last London festival of Owenites. John Stuart Mill noted in ''On Liberty'' that both Truelove and George Jacob Holyoake were rejected as jurymen at the Old Bailey in 1857, for their statements of lack of religious belief. John Truelove (born 06 December 1962) is an English record producer, DJ and music entrepreneur. Music production career Beginnings Truelove's career as a record producer began with the 'Truelove' bootlegs which fused a cappella vocals with current instrumental dance tracks. The most successful of these, in collaboration with DJ Eren, combined Candi Staton's vocal " You Got the Love" with Jamie Principle's " Your Love" (frequently, but incorrectly, credited to Frankie Knuckles). After distributing the bootleg himself John secured permission from the owners of Candi Staton's vocal performance to legitimise the release. Owen James Truelove (24 October 1937 – 14 November 2006) was the first man to fly from the United Kingdom to New Zealand with a motor glider.
