Truax, Saskatchewan
Truax is an unincorporated community in the Rural Municipality of Elmsthorpe No. 100, Saskatchewan, Canada. It held village status prior to December 30, 1970. Truax is located southwest of Regina and approximately southeast of Moose Jaw. History Truax was incorporated as a village on September 9, 1912. Originally named Schuett in honour of an early homesteading family, it was re-named Truax in celebration of Reuben Eldridge Truax, an Ontario businessman and politician. Truax's first overseer (mayor) was F.A. Bennett and the first secretary-treasurer was Joseph Duck. Until the early 1920s, the municipal office, village office, Bank of Hamilton, and fire hall were housed in one building. This building burned in February 1923, causing the loss of most of the early records of Truax. Trenton, Michigan
Trenton is a city in Wayne County, Michigan, United States. At the 2010 census, the city population was 18,853. A Shawnee village was built in the area by war chief Blue Jacket after the 1795 Treaty of Greenville. The area later became the site of the Battle of Monguagon between Americans and a British-Indian coalition during the War of 1812. The battle is commemorated with a Michigan State Historical Site marker in present-day Elizabeth Park, which was the first county park in Michigan when it was established in 1919. Portions of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge are within the southern portion of Trenton. The area was once part of the now-defunct Monguagon Township. Trenton was incorporated as a village in 1855 and again as a city in 1957. The city is part of the Downriver collection of communities south of Detroit on the west bank of the Detroit River. Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) , also known as Truax Field, is a civil-military airport located northeast of downtown Madison,Wisconsin. In the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2023–2027, it is one of 2 airports in Wisconsin that is categorized as a small-hub primary commercial service facility; the other is Appleton International Airport.
